So Afflalo is the New Barry Hall
K Love gets Garnett's record even though he had 7-8 more minutes of court time due to OT
OKC once again highlights only the 'important' parts of their team by showing that Durant and Westbrook still don't have team mates, except Harden, who is a ridiculous scorer - as long as he only faces the opponent bench's defense!
Nice day in the NBA
Haters gonna hate!
You say you have watched a fair few Thunder games recently and yet you say Harden only plays against the other teams bench!? Guess you must be watching with your eyes closed then!
I just mean that all of their eggs are in the 3 player basket! I an injury comes it will be all over! Let's hope it doesn't!
I have watched a fair few OKC games lately, and the more I watch, the less I like Westbrook!
Watching the highlights don't count as watching the games
If you ACTUALLY watched yesterday's game against the Wolves, Westbrook had about 5 1-man fastbreaks in the last quarter/OT with an AND-1 on Ellington as well. He also hit a clutch 3 somewhere in there too. And you saying you hate Westbrook? What for? The guy even shot 17-28 so you can't even say oh he takes s*** shots. Umad Spurs fans, not every team has to play boring basketball and flop like mad to win games.
Also you're forgetting we're already playing without Daequan Cook and Eric Maynor. And I'm pretty sure James Harden and Thabo were injured at the same time before as well. Didn't see us losing more games than usual? If you want to talk about losing Durant or Westbrook, fine lets see Miami play without James and Wade, Magic without Howard, Spurs without Parker no team can play without their star player.
Hit a nerve did I??? hahaha
Now that you wasted all that time rambling about yesterdays game, I will tell you that I actually watched OKC v SAS and OKC v DAL from a couple weeks back and they are the games that make me think that!!
OKC can be 25 points down and Westbrook goes for the glamorous dunk or throwdown instead of just taking the points, them screams as if he has just hit a game winner!!?? In one of the cases, he missed because of not taking the easy lay up!!
Too many times he takes the 'tricky' shot instead of kicking out or trying another pass! Its like he is caught between being an SG and a PG!
THAT is why the Spurs are considered boring! Because they always do the % play!
I never said I 'HATE' Westbrook.... I said the more I watch, the less I like him!
As far as injuries go.... Wade was out with an ankle injury, and the Heat didn't lose in that time!!
Parker was out yesteday and the Spurs still beat Dallas
Manu has been out for most of the season, but they are still winning!!
So try again!
So Westbrook plays better than Durant during those 2 games yet you're still banging on about Westbrook? Why don't you try bagging some other OKC player out for a change. People who don't follow the OKC games just assume Durant plays like a demi-god every game.
My opinion is based on their attitude as well as their game!
Durant is far more humble than Westbrook!! Both take a lot of shots to get their points! But winning a scoring title is always going to make Durant look better at it!
Durant had 7 turnovers in one of those games. Keeping the ball is just as important as scoring.
Also I forgot to mention that Ibaka and Perkins shut down BG32 the last time they met. Guess they still don't count as team mates?
Who saw Deng's crazy tip in today?
What you just said is exactly what my point is!!
There is no credit given to anyone except Durant, Westbrook & Harden!
When I said about not having team mates I was saying that you wouldn't know! Just like in Miami! Even Bosh gets ignored a lot down there!
There are players in the league that do a lot of work that doesn't stat! But there is no recognition unless they put up 20pts!
NBA top 10 field goal attempts per game:
1. Kobe Bryant- 23.5 attempts, 10.1 makes, 42.9% shooting2. Kevin Durant- 19.6 attempts, 9.8 makes, 49.8% shooting3. Russell Westbrook- 19.2 attempts, 9.1 makes, 47.5% shooting4. Kevin Love- 19.1 attempts, 8.6 makes, 45.2% shooting5. LeBron James- 18.4 attempts, 9.9 makes, 53.9% shooting6. Monta Ellis- 18.2 attempts, 7.8 makes, 43.0% shooting7. Derrick Rose- 18.1 attempts, 8.1 makes, 45.0% shooting8. Deron Williams- 17.9 attempts, 7.4 makes, 41.3% shooting9. Dwyane Wade- 17.6 attempts, 8.9 makes, 50.5% shooting10. Carmelo Anthony- 17.4 attempts, 6.9 makes, 39.9% shooting
Unless you watch Thunder games then I guess that is what most people would perceive; but players like Serge and Collison also get a lot of credit.
Haha...... last time I looked at that list Melo was 2nd @ 19.9 and Kobe was over 24 lol. Funny, people love calling Westbrook "Westbrick", yet he's one of the better shooters in that list.
Going to a 4th!!!!
