Jeez this top order just crumbles at the slightest sign of pressure.....now Hussey coming in on a pair and Punter scratching around to save his career!
The scene is set for them both to stand up and deliver......time will tell! Their destiny is in their hands...
So Haddin comes out swinging, in a bad situation, where he needs to hang around! What a tool. Had a lot of respect for him but no longer!
I agree Liam- Wade in.
I was at the MCG and saw every minute of today's play, the crowd atmosphere was great.
Decent and appropriate applause was given all round.
Ponting and Hussey got decent applause as they arrived and Ponting got decent applause for his gritty dig.
I couldn't believe my eyes when the wickets tumbled. A total of 15 for the day.
The ball certainly dominated the day's play, it looked like a rout for the Aussies as well until Ponting and Hussey showed some resistance.
To quote Tony Greig "Don't ever underestimate experience" which is what finally prevailed between Hussey and Ponting.
Their perseverance was worth double the scores made today given the pressure they were under at 4/27.
Certainly an interesting day with the tenuous possibility of Hussey making it to a ton tomorrow if the last tail-enders survive long enough.
Congrats to Jack for guessing Ponting's combined total in the competition.
I'll see what I can dig up for the Sydney test, any suggestions?
At this stage am thinking about a total score over the test for Ed Cowan

In addition to my last post here are a couple of pic from yesterday.
I was up clapping with everyone else so didn't get a pic of Punter waving his bat.
Nice pic of aftermath of a poor shot with the Aussies celebrating and Hussey's 50
