2010 Rookie of the Year & Top Prospect cards we wont see....

Following 1967Sharks' change of avatar to Gardner for Rookie of the Year I'm curious to hear who everyone thinks is going to win Rookie of the Year and also thought we may as well depress ourselves and make a list of Top Prospects that Select will likely never release.

The obvious few rookies I can think of:

Matt Gillett
Nathan Gardner
Trent Hodkinson
Trent Merrin

I think Gillett is hands down to win but there has been some goodens this year, I can think of another few but will leave them for you guys.

As a Saints supporter I would've liked to see a Trent Merrin TP I think he has a long career in front of him.

Look fwd to reading your opinions etc.

I may be a little biased but i have to say Nathan Gardner has to win it, Definately top 3. Hodgkinson looks promising though.

Matt Gillett seems to be the one everyone is talking about. Gardner is a pretty good player and should be in the running.

As for Raiders top prospects, I would have loved to see Daniel Vidot, Joel Thompson or Jarrod Croker.

Hoffman made his NRL debut in the round 13 match against the St. George Illawarra Dragons on the 6th of June, 2008.......whilst still a rookie IMO ineligible for the award

I'd say Matt Gillett has had the biggest impact of them all.

Barba is technically ineligble as well, another who debuted against the Dragons in 2008 and before this year had played 8 games.

For the Bulldogs on the tele last night they said Junior Kilifi, was debuting for the Dogs.....he looked O.K....but I'm not sure did he play for someone else before the Dogs?

Not me....... didn't Sandow win Rookie of the Year in 2008, Orford the Dally M and Hindmarsh the Provan medal thingy (peoples choice)

wats the actual criteria for rookie of year? i assume some1 who only plays say 1 or 2 games in 2009 is still eligible for 2010 rookie?

Junior Tia Kalifi came from Penrith last year. I understand he did play first grade but not too sure?????????????????

I think less than 4 games in total, so if you played 1 in 2006 and then plyed more this year you would still be eligible..........I'm not sure why Ellis last year and Burgess this year aren't considered if it is NRL ookie of the Year but there's obviously some rule somewhere..

I think Merrin played at least 4 games in 1st grade last year too.

Id vote for Gardner for rookie, hes a tough little guy.

Oh your right they did win a few but as you asked "who remebers"....not me I could only recall the big three but now I think about it I did collect the 2009 Classic TOY cards...good memory
