2010 NBC Heads Up Poker (spoilers)

Ok so this is a fun event. Much less skill involved than deeper stack, better structured heads up poker, but entertaining nonetheless.

I've watched it since it began, I think this is the 5th or 6th year it has been running, the draw party is fun to watch and then I sometimes print out the brackets and pick who I think will win in each match. Wrong most of the time as there is a lot of upsets where the "favourite" loses. So, it's a crapshoot, made for tv bit of entertainment, and I think it succeeds at being just that.

A few upsets, not unexpected!

Biggest of all, Ivey out!!! , thought it was his year.

Also, previous champ Paul Wasicka is out, as is Chris Ferguson, one of the favourites, beaten by Dennis Philips, he seems to be on a tear!


Another upset is previous WSOP ME Champ Jerry Yang getting through his first 3 matches! Predicted as the worst in the field, even more so than 7 online qualifiers! He has beaten Mike Matusow, Jennifer Harman and Barry Greenstein, WOW! I think his run will stop now though, against Annie Duke.

Normally unlucky Erik Seidel is having a great run, , through to the semi final round after beating a hot Chris Moneymaker.

I've printed a new sheet with updated predictions, anyone's game though!!!

Well, another upset, I thought it was Seidel or maybe even Philips' year but no, Annie Duke Puke takes it out. The hated participant/runner-up-but-deserved-to-win-rigged-tvshow in the Celebrity Apprentice.

Another $500k in her pocket, more bragging rights and the first female winner in the shows 6 years.

Can't wait to see some of the matches when they get televised. Should be entertaining
