Good that they've done a replacement though. The last two Telegraph sets have been really good, good subsets and nice designs. And the selection of players has been really good, too.
Hey guys,
I can clear up how this happened as I just spoke with a client who works in customer service/marketing at the Tele.
1) Card co. didn't get anything wrong as everything was supplied by the NRL including pics and which players to be included etc etc
2) Clubs weren't involved AT ALL - all NRL's fault
As a result the NRL is paying for ALL the printing and postage costs for this muck up.
I got my replacement cards last week. They were just chucked in an envelope with NO protection what so ever! Did anyone else find this? Luckily mine arrived unscathed.
Secondly I was lucky to even receive it because it came without any stamps or prepaid postage printed on the envelope
Meanwhile, on the lighter side of Raiders news, centre Jarrod Croker was finally asked to sign a footy card with his own picture on it during the week, but that pesky copy with team mate Glen Buttriss on the front continues to haunt him.
Earlier this season Croker’s first ever footy card was released featuring a photo of Buttriss wearing head gear that Croker had lent him.
The manufacturer has since re-released the card with Croker’s image on the front, but the fans continue to covet the Buttriss version.
“I had a bloke ask me to sign the real one the other day, but he wanted me to sign the one with Buttsy on it as well. I can’t believe he couldn’t tell the difference†Croker said.
Croker’s sister has ordered 50 copies of the new release card.
I got my card no probs at all, my parents collected the tele cards for me in NSW, I emailed the customer service people said please and thank you and the card turned up secure between cardboard. I even got a follow up email asking if it had arrived........
