I calculated the full set to be worth $140. I came to this conclusion by:

5 packs per day (gets you that days full set of foils) = $10 x 14 days = $140.

It will be interesting to see if you get a bid, I will be amazed but good luck.

Hi Ross

Well for a start i couldn't sell them at cost price.

Secondly you cant garauntee that you will get all the foils in 5 packs as they are at random.

I would say that you would need to buy at least 10 units of each pack to have a good go at obtaining the 240 foils and on top of that you need to buy the paper 10 times to get the tokens. That equates to $420 of expenses

Yes the price is high but its cheaper in the long run if you were to attempt the full set.

thanks for you wishes.

Kind Regards

Yeah im going for the full foil set, but even so, i think your starting bid is a little ambitious.
Its worth more than cost price, but i wouldve thought maybe $200-$250 on a good day.

Gotta agree there. I have the full foil set myself and I would say its at best worth about $250 as a set. Sold individually, you may get a bit better price but not much.

How did you get a full foil set?

Mostly by buying 5 packs per day. I figured out that if you buy first thing in the morning and get 5 packs which have been packaged next to each other from the distributor you usually get the 12 or 13 foil cards released that day.

I bought about 85 pack in total and only missed out on a full set by about 20 cards. The final 20 I got from a friend and on Ebay.

As stated by others yes you can guarantee yourself every foil card by buying 5 packs a day. Also they abandoned the idea of needing the daily token as a single token offerred you the opportunity to buy any number of packs.

I agree though that buying an already completed foil set would come with an added premium, but for me certainly no more than an extra $50, so less than $200 in total. As I said good luck and you may get the price as some people are simply willing to pay almost anything to get what they want. I was merely giving an opinion.

Cheers
Ross

if you look closely on e-bay or other sellers of NRL cards they are going for less than a $1 a foil card, you can actually pick them up for .50c a piece so I think the price is a bit of a joke.... it's like that seller rarecollectables the guy is a fruit cake or as i say about 5 cans short of a six pack
