Nothing stunning but i think they look good. Big fan of the top prospect design. Dogs look to have good representation this year too:thumbsup:

Player selection in Top Prospects looks better than previous years too...

Apart from Mitch Brown LOL

Captain sigs are a good addition, but another average select release i think.
Seriously, who the hell picks the top prospects. Some absolutely terrible selections in that lot.

Spot on, some absolute superstars coming through atm and Selects Top Prospects are average at best.
Maybe with the exception of Idris and possibly in the future Uate and Moltzen

Yeah Dugan could be special too, but for the most part terrible. John Williams..................WTF, Debut was made in 2005 i think, average winger at best. Seriously select get your act together.

YAYAYAYAY

Matt Bowen and Thurston Double Trouble!!!!
Also, Payne Club Player of the Year and Williams Top Prospect :)
Also, TURSTON IS IN THE CAPTAIN REDEMPTIONS.
This is a proud day for Cowboys supporters :D

ALso, only 6 JDC per team?

Pretty happy with that set as a Raiders supporter. I like how the DieCuts feature some players not in the team sets, so you are getting a slightly broader representation of the squad this year.

Do any other team set collectors feel like Select always rip their team of when it comes to higher end inserts or just me?

Some teams this time do seem to be weird!

i mean... Jennings and Gordon DT????
Mitch Brown Prospect???

Some cards seem out of place... Bowen thurston are a the best DT because they work well TOGETHER in a match. Jennings/Gordon?

I can see how you would. I would as a Canberra fan but we've had a Daley and Meninga tribute (in last years Masters set) that have balanced it out. But without those I would be pretty frustrated.

Thanks for the post Foldee. It's a bit hit and miss. I do like that the major subset isn't just a parallel set but why can't they come up with another shape other than a jersey for it.

Again players that have changed clubs are featured.. McDonnell hasn't played for the Tigers since April.

Overall I don't think those top prospects are that bad while not all future rep players no one seems like a total dud player.

Any reason the captain sigs are numbered like that? I just find it stupid to see numbers to a set that hasn't been around since 2004. It just makes things confusing for new collectors.

Really would like to see 2 pages of base set in a box a header + 17 player cards is so logical I think its pretty obvious that AFL is selects first priority and League is secondary. I wish they would put just a litte bit more effort into it all.

Considering all that I still can't wait to crack a box i just love footy cards lol.

The only high end Cronulla card is 2004 Captains Signature (which every team has)
Only other teams i can think of in the same boat is the Warriors and the Titans but there are probably more.
Some teams are almost guaranteed a high end insert every couple of years

EG-Brisbane always get the best inserts

I like the fact though if you get all 16 Premiership Predictors, you get 16 cards featuring the top tryscorers for each team

I agree there. Dugan is a good pick for the prospect and I'm happy we have a few new players who haven't had cards before.
