2007 NBA Ozcards Awards..

Had a great idea guys!

With 81/82 games played for most teams, the end of the regular season is approaching us very quickly!

It seems that something fun for the board to do, would be to vote on all the individual awards that are given out, these being:

- Most Improved Player
- Defensive Player
- Rookie of the Year
- Sixth Man
- Coach of the Year
- Most Valuable Player

I will be making a thread for each of these when the regular season is finished, all under the same type of "series" which will be 2006-07 Ozcards NBA Awards.

Then everyone can vote on these within a two-week voting period, when it is over we can then announce who the Ozcards community has voted as their MVP, Defensive POY, ROY, Coach of the Year etc..!

Any suggestions or comments about this idea?

Anyway, look for it in the NBA section, maybe we can get the final results and "sticky" them up somewhere, and then look to continue this every season, or something like that!

What do you guys think?

A similar idea to how they have the fan awards on the NBA.com website every year before the official awards are revealed.

Agreed! I was in a comp last year on another site where anyone who guessed who won all those awards won a pile of cards. No one got the lot - I mised the 6th man.....and lost the comp on a random draw with other guys who got all but one.

SO, how about a comp where whoever gets closest to predicting the lot of winners gets a pile of donated cards?? I wouldn't mind sending a few over!!

Would you like to be in charge of that? hahaha, in all seriousness, or together the both of us could?

That's a great idea though:

Whoever guesses all correctly wins a pile of cards.

AND, if nobody guesses all correctly, the person who is closest!

This could be a lot of fun, because you have to predict how everyone will vote!

I don't mind helping out if others are keen. No point in blokes sending me cards for the prize though - I'd just be sending them back over the Tasman probably!!
