Strengths: Dudley embodies the type of underrated role player that NBA teams love. His shooting mechanics are excellent – he has a high release point and a very nice follow-through. Whether it’s aggressive rebounding, dishing the ball, or even tough defense, Dudley always puts himself in position to make the timely play. A player with a high basketball IQ, he knows his limitations on the court and only plays to his strengths.
Weaknesses: Dudley will almost certainly be labeled as a ‘tweener’ until he proves himself at a position in the NBA. He’s not the type of player who will create his own shot at the next level, and limitations regarding his lateral quickness and explosiveness near the rim are also a concern.
Outlook: Dudley is the type of proven college player who could step in and play a role off the bench for a playoff team. Teams working him out pick from No. 20 to No. 40, and he will likely bring good value to a team drafting in the late first round.
