Ok guys, some confusion for me regarding this set of cards looking at ChrisW77 post
http://www.ozcardtrader.com.au/forum/maildays-card-pics-football/96571-1996-mvp-sigs-c-o.html

his signatures are out of 400, i have a Goldthorpe 263/1000 With COA from Intrepid same as ChrisW77 , i also have a set of them which are not numbered, the sigs are authentic as they are exact as ChrisW77 with same texter been used same density etc 100% authentic, which are probably the same as Chris 2nd post in the thread, which Johns & Sironen just have the sigs but no number...
So what is the situation with these?

Just realised my COA says 263/400 but card is 263/1000, Sigs are exact as ChrisW77 obviously numbering added afterwards, now to find ther seller from10years ago...

so if the COA is out of 400 and the card is numbered to 1000 I would think the numbering on the card is dodgie. The MVP sig I have with the COA is out of 400 and the MVP sig I have (with no COA) featuring Steve Carter from Penrith is 32/400.

I know there were MVP signature cards that were signed but NOT numbered (spares I reckon) and it would appear the previous owner got one of those and added his own numbering???

yeah thats what it looks like... Curious to know how many were not numbered are are out and about?? whether for retail sellers these unumbered ones....

I believe there were heaps of them, I know one retired dealer who bought hundreds of autographed but not numbered cards, I think cardzone has quite a few as well.

I know this is off the subject but our local card shop guy who has been round forever swears Brett Mullins never signed one lot of his Dynamic signature cards( dont know which one???) he used to be mates with Mullins when he lived here and Mullins told him he never even signed the cards who knows but just aanonther Dynamic story

Unfortunately its a big problem with the dynamic signature cards - dodgy cards. I have heard the following stories from sellers.

1. This card is not numbered because i bought it in the liquidation sale and dynamic did not number cards until they sent them out.
2. This card is numbered but i dont have the COA card because i bought it in the liquidation sale from Dynamic.

I have also heard a story (cant say that its true) that at the time when Dynamic went bust a lot of the signature cards had gone missing.

Who know where the truth lies. Either way my advice would be be patient and only buy the cards with the COA. Long term this is where the value will be in these cards.

i dont like your point in number 2. I have the terry lamb but i have lost my COA. we had EVERY set from 92 i think it was until 2000 so it will be disappointing if ppl dont believe my lamb to be authentic...ADD TO THAT that whoever numbered it f**ked up the numbering and had to go over a 2 with a 3!

I think the Authenticity of the signature isnt usually questioned on those that were left over and sold unnumberred. The actual signatures are in the same pen so people know its the real deal. The COA is just much rarer and official so demand higher prices.
Your stuffed up numberring does add to the dodgieness though
