1996-97 ultra basketball series 1 hobby box

has anybody ever bought a 1996-97 ultra basketball series 1 hobby box basketball. and have they experienced a promblem with the cards. if they got it did it stick together i have being doing some research it shows that these cards always get stick together

most older stock sticks anything with a glossy finish that sits shrink wrapped for almost 20 years will stick

I have bought lots of 90s unopened boxes not many of them did stick together only ones got stick together was 1997-98 ultra basketball

Yes, I remember buying those back in the day, and yes they had problems with the cards sticking together. Also for me when they were stored (as sets in a cardboard box), they all got stuck together, so often I would find the UV coating pulled off on the back of the card infront of it, or part of the foil would pull off.

Sometimes I think the UV coating would also be bubbly / a little rough.

do you know if once the cards start to stick together leaving white marks on them is there any solution to get rid of the marks

These were actually quite sticky way back in 97.

I opened a box of 96/97 srs 2 around 2004 and it was a bit sticky, a lot were missing foil from the front.

I would still bust this stuff at the right price but it could be money down the drain.

Not much you can do about it.

One thing i do with all nineties stuff is this - before opening the pack, first flex it (not too much) then tap both the bottom and top on a hard surface. This seperates all cards. 1992-93 upper deck international had the same sticking issue.
