Well I finally got my hands on one at a great price , card was listed as the wrong year, Had to call on ShawnBradleyFan to help out as the seller never responded to my questions about postage, that was probably a good thing as it is now on its way to SGC to be graded as I type this, Matt was good enough to help me out there again and got the submission kit. I cant wait, think its a 20 day service so I should have it within 2 mths here in oz. Have asked Matt not to tell me what it grades at and will wait till it arrives here before I know, anyway picked it up for US$ 85.00 any way here are the 2 scans I have of the card at the moment.
mate a $300 book value card. and u get that for only $85? thats a steal man. I knew a friend of mine. that was offered book price for the alcindor rc but he never let go his card.
im getting chills now.

Thank you, Yeah I was rapt, was prepared to bid to $150, only 1 bid though, shows it pays to check in cards listed in other years, think it was listed as 70-71.
Thats why I am getting it graded about another US$50 but still well and truly picked up a bargain for my PC.

Nah its just off center top to bottom. Centering is an issue with all the old tops cards. Don't know about a steal but you certainly didn't overpay for it. The seller had the listing terrible with the wrong year and no topps in the title. I dare say he could of squeezed a few more bucks out of buyers but not much. The raw examples that sell for a bit are mostly bought and graded and this card would get a PSA qualifier or lose two grades for centering before the condition is graded even. (making it prob a psa 3) That would of kept most vintage collectors away.
Great card to fill your set and one of the top ten cards in the hobby for all time
Congrats on the purchase and good luck with the SGC grade.
Thanks Branko, I dont care what it grades at, just very happy to pick it up at that price, have been watching for a while and most are going above BV. watched one that had been drawn on, pin holes and creased, bad corners etc, sold for US$48 I think it was. all damage was described and still went for that, last one with 4 really scuffed corners went for US$100.00, just glad I looked at lew cards listed in other years.
