Question for those more knowledgeable or maybe just older, why do all the1968 crests have a hole punched in them and is it all of them?

To tie with sting for some reason is all I can think of?

I have no idea but I had to have a laugh a couple years back there was one on E-Bay and in the description he said that his brother had damaged it by punching a hole in it.

They all did have holes in them, and it was so you could either wear them using either a string around the neck or with a safety pin to show your team support. I can still remember opening the packs from my parents shop ( they weren't sealed) and shuffling cards so I got the whole set with no doubles. My only regret is throwing away the wrappers. I have only kept the Dragons players and other players that rated in the top 100 as per 2008.
They still rate highly in my PC of favourite cards due to the childhood memories.

Thanks Paddy.

I assumed it was something like that.

I must grab my MINT St George crest and pin it to my chest next time I go to the footy!

Cheers

If you are planning on doing that I'll swap my not so mint emblem for your mint one!!! I wonder how many of them were destroyed back then by kids doing exactly that.

The story I have heard from older people is that they gave them out at the game to wear on your shirt. Some say at the end of the game there where thousands all over the ground. Not sure how true that is I was not born in 68.
