1878 ASHES POSTCARD - OPINIONS PLEASE

This Postcard of the 1878 Australian Ashes squad has been in my family for many years, so i would like to ask for opinions in regards to its value.

What a nice piece of history. I don't know what the others think, but in my opinion it requires some specialist input. Maybe someone like Charles Leski or Ken Piesse could provide an opinion?

Sent off to Moss Green for an appraisal and i must add that they were not actually called the Ashes team back then but it was the 1st Australian Team to tour England and the US. The actual photo is taken on the US part of the tour with Niagara Falls in the background.

Hey Alex

I got the info about where it was taken from a photo that is in the NSW State Library(wikipedia) and i sent a scan to Moss Green and the value i received back was in line with my own estimate.

Great piece of history.
