True. Their drafting stinks bar Boogie. But I just reckon in Thompson, McLemore, Stauskas and Williams they probably have reasonable reserves. Can probably add Landry and McCallum to that group. Collision is an ok starter but probably better suited to run the secondary group. I like Gay as a player, he's copped a fair bit just because he signed a huge contract. Just feel they had something to build with. Draft another youngster, maybe sign someone or make a good trade and they could get close. Trade Boggie and you're starting all over again. Doubt that's something the relatively new owners would be keen on. Especially when the moving into a new stadium, aren't they? The kings have been awful on draft night for the better part of the last 10 years.
Stauskas
McLemore
Thomas Robinson
Bismack Biyombo
Cousins
Whiteside
Thomas
Tyreke Evans
Casspi
Jason Thompson
Spencer Hawes
Quincy Douby
Francisco Garcia
How many of these have actually become something for the Kings? The jury is still out on McLemore (could end up a fringe starter in a weak draft) & Stauskas (may end up a bust considering he was top 10). But Thomas Robinson, Whiteside, Jason Thompson, Douby never panned out. Note - 28 other teams passed up Whiteside also. All they really have to show is Boogie, Isaiah Thomas (not with team), Evans (not with team), Hawes (not with team), Casspi (only makes this list because he was drafted at 23rd - only just returned to team), Garcia (not with team).
I mean, how do they expect to get out of the basement when they waste draft picks and can't attract free agents?
In away I agree, for a top 4 pick then yep do the deal, but after that the talent drops off in a very weak draft class, it's a case of keeping a good and proven yet not going to improve much more player over a hit and miss, if Milwaukee trades him, drafts a player and he ends up being a star everyone will say Milwaukee are genius's, yet if the pick craps out and is even worse than mcw then everyone will be calling Milwaukee stupid lol, a ballsy move by the bucks because they look like their on their way back up after a long time of being crap.See, I don't think MCW's ceiling is all that high at all. He has a broken jump shot, that reportedly despite a lot of work has shown no improvement, he's turn over prone and makes average at best decisions. I think he's pretty close to his ceiling already.
Jordan admitting they made yet another draft day mistake, legend player, bad gm/owner.Yep the Batum trade is confirmed.
Luke Ridnour is off to Memphis also for the rights to Latvian big man Janis Timma.
Monta Ellis has opted out of his contract in Dallas and the mavs likely won't extend him a new deal. The Pacers or Heat are his likely destinations

Where do you think Aldridge ends up? Dallas?I don't see it that way. Most big guys take 2-3 years before they have any impact what so ever. The Blazers have grabbed him as insurance in the event that Aldridge leaves (insurance).
Where do you think Aldridge ends up? Dallas?
I think he's almost 100% gone from Portland. His house has been up for sale for 2 weeks, so he's certainly got 1 foot out the door.
Dallas or San Antonio I think are the best chances to land his services. I'm led to believe he wants to go home to Texas.
Dallas are rumoured to be chasing Danny Green (why the hell would you chase Danny Green lol) I don't see SA matching any high offers on him, so that could help make the decision SA was avoiding (Splitter/Green) and make some room to sign LA. The rumoured Duncan deal is supposed to be 2 yrs at $12ish mil, with only $4-5mil in the first year and with a "top up" in the next, once the TV deal ups the salary cap.
I never usually get excited about potential Spurs trades/signings though. They are always "interested" but it seems like they are just messing with the media every time! lol
Danny Green is great on the Spurs, not sure how he will do elsewhere.
Spurs need to do something sooner rather than later. Gasol would be my choice, but doesn't look that likely anymore.
Matt Barnes could never go back to LAC if waived, at least for 12 months from the date of release or 1st July following the next completed season, which ever happens first. I'm pretty sure this was just a salary dump move, as his contract is only partially guaranteed for next season ($1mill) - opposed to Lamb who was on the books for $3mill so Barnes will still probably become a free agent.
My guess is the thunder will use this roster spot to bring up Huestis from the D League, who they gave a wink wink contract to last season to save them a guaranteed contract and roster spot.
I agree with the Spurs, they never make a splash - but Aldridge personality seems like a good fit for them.
Personally, by about 9.10am tomorrow I'll know what free agents I can dream of signing as a laker fan. Haha
I'm getting reports now that the Lakers & Kings have discussed trade frameworks in a deal for Cousins. Kings are reportedly asking for pick 2, Randle and Clarkson. Lakers refuse to give up both Randle and Clarkson - but very open to handing over pick 2. So we shall see.
