Up until recently I hadn't had many additions to my 90/91 signed set. Then in the last week or so I picked a few up and now this week, thanks to OCT member BLADE, ebay and Mr Chappell, I have knocked quite a few more off the list and also some of the "odd" cards from the set...

Also I received my Arthur Morris cards back signed on the cards this time  and he even did the weetbix one for me :D

I also picked up a heap of elite XI's cheap, but you have all seen them before, so I only included one of them, because it fit so well into the 4 piece

Anyway, enough rambling...

Mine too! and when i was a spotty teenager i batted in the next net at the Albert ground in Melbourne and he was hooking Denis Hickey out of the nets over Queens Rd and on to the golf course! The boy could play!

So how many of the red set do you now have signed Liam? You must be nearly half way! Awesome!

Hate the shortened sigs - I can't imagine "Deno" gets that many requests these days for autos that he gets a sore hand signing his full name! His full sig is a beauty too. Shame.

He was a great player Dan! I still remember his 145 at the Gabba! Or telling Curtly to take off his sweatbands  (though he didn't score many more after firing the big fella up)

His most notable innings was in only his third Test, against India in the Tied Test in Chennai (Madras) in 1986. Suffering from dehydration in the oppressively hot and humid conditions, Jones was frequently vomiting on the pitch. He wanted to go off the field "retired ill" which led his captain Allan Border to say that if he couldn't handle the conditions, "then let's get a real Australian"(Greg Ritchie, like Border, a Queenslander was the next man) in to bat. This comment spurred Jones to score 210, an innings he considered a defining moment in his career and one of the epic test innings in Australian cricket folklore.

As for the red set i think I am up to only 34/84, i think Ron is way ahead of me...

As for the "Deno" it seems like a bit of a trademark for him. If you give him a card, shirt, hat or any other "odd" item he signs it "Deno"

Give him a mini bat or bat and he does the full sig

He did this minibat (and another 2 I ended up giving to my brothers) with the full sig at the beach cricket on the goldy earlier this year, i then gave him a cap and he did the "Deno" on it...

Pity how some players belittle their autos whilst others like the Chappells, Arthur Morris and even Steve Waugh (if he signs any these days)have stuck to their guns.

I remember his 216 against the Windies, that was the day that set the seed for the years to come, 'maybe we can beat these guys'! Now look at them, they are relegated to the tour support team and have lost the Boxing Day Test to Pakistan!

Cool bat by the way!!
