got these 2 new gold labels in today,

melo topps rc BGS9.5

and a lebron pristine gold refractor die cut rc BGS 9.5.........

bit of a story behind the bron, the seller was very specific about not sending overseas (from the US) but after several messages he finally agreed to send to me if i had won.
he qouted me $5 for postage, which i thought was fare , and i won the card (obviously) he then sent it via express mail which cost him almost $30 and he wore the cost of shipping.
i think this is the first time i have ever underpaid for postage , just thought i would share a good story rather than all the horrors going around at the moment with shonky ebay sellers, over-inflated postage, aussie post thefts etc etc

Did you offer to pay the shipping difference or did he say prior to shipping he'd wear the cost? I usually offer to pay the difference if it works out more expensive for them.
 
Great pick up and nice story but what is the seller doing ripping themselves off $25 US :blink:, no wonder he dosnt want to send overseas :rolleyes:.

i didn't know till today that he sent it express post, so i have messaged him and he said not to worry about it.
he also has 3 more rare bron BGS 9.5's that i want so we are going to work out a deal for those too , so much for not sending O/S:D

haha:lol:, well i guess for what the card went for he still made some nice pocket change to cover postage costs....
 
Great pickups indeed mate.
We just had the same thing happen with a US seller.Charged us $2US & sent Reg'd ,$26US.And Aussie post managed to lose it,We had to track it down.

Great to see those 2 beauty's got to you OK.Nice .

Yea.. It happened to me once the seller sent me global prioirty coz they don't know what service to use.. charged me $5 and cost the seller like 7$ + padded envelope, i asked to pay the difference because I don't want overseas sellers to be frightened of sending cards to Australia, but he said it wasn't much and didn't ask for it.he obviously didn't make his money because that was PSA 9 Horace Grant Rookie i won at $2... I hope you can sort something out, some sellers are very nice and they just don't know what service to use..

I am keen to pay the actual cost if that is the case.. the most important thing is we receive the cards and the postage is not ridiculous amount for being used and paid... but in fact, the seller should have asked..
