Finally catching up with the bunch of 'undocumented' cards around me which resulted in this mailday....which by my standards is about as close as I can get to a set chase compeltion.
Anyhoo, the set in question is the 99 00 Skybox Premium Prime Time Rookies, which had pack odds of 1 in 92. really nice acette with a bit of um, 'sparkle' which really did make it a classy looking product. The set basically acknowledges the top 14 rookies selected (other than Radojevic at #12) and then for some reason skips forward to draft pick #25 Tim James (and in doing so skipped over guys like Ron Artest and AK47). Some of the photo selections are also a bit dubious as you'll come to see....and my photogrpahy skills also do not do the cards justice.
Anyhoo, here they are in all their glory:
#1 Elton Brand - for some reason I have this card five times.
#2 Steve Francis - One of the harder ones to track down.
#3 Baron Davis - have only ever seen this card once, and of course didn't buy it when I had the chance.
#4 Lamar Odom - not sure the warmups were the best picture selection they coudl have gone with...
#5 Jhnathan Bender - have never even seen this card - only as a checklist picture - so it must be out there somewhere!
#6 Wally Szczerbiak - for some reason I have this twice too.
#7 Rip Hamilton - everyone seems to forget he was a Wizards rookie...
#8 Andre Miller - the first practice jersey or summer league shot... Always difficult to imagine those cagey veterans as rookies.
#9 Shawn Marion - Another one hard to track down, lieking the draft day suit and cap shot.
#10 Jason Terry - this reminds so much of the Illawarra Hawks!
#11 Trajan Langdon - Priro to starting this chase I thought this guy was a second rounder!
#12 Dion Glover - another short lived career - but that;s what makes this set chase interesting!
#13 Corey Maggette - surprised he was taken below some of the names above him. ..but its always easy in hindsight!
#14 William Avery - thsi pick never seemed to make any sense at any time for the Wolves...
#15 Tim James - actually the number 25 pick. this card is on the way...
Well that's all for now folks, thanks for stopping by. Likes and comments always appreciated - plus the more eye on it makes my set chasing more accountable!
