Ablett Snr would have been better starting over to the left a bit.

i wouldn't be overly excited to get the ablett signature card like that, unless they are all the same.
Did you see the Lockett signature in the thread i would send that back to select before the 14 days is up.
i think its pretty ordinary for select to seal the high end cards in a 20 cent top loader, why not something a little better or unique to the series with some gold stamping for example.

Agreed mate, so would you consider breaking the Select seal to put it into a different holder?? (E.g. one-touch magnet). And would that then decrease value???

I'm tempted to sell my Ablett and wait for a better signature to pop up but they might all be the same. As for breaking the seal, I think I'd be inclined to leave mine alone.

Also noticeable that Blight has signed top to bottom whilst Hart and Cable have signed in the other direction. i guess this has happened on other legend signatures over the years though.

i noticed the blight signature, it just doesn,t look right that way (but that adds to the card's appeal). the seal is only new this year as selects policy was they would replace any current year card that was damaged in print for a new one. i dont think the seal broken makes any difference as long as the card is in mint condition. top loaders are not a great protector of cards long term, and the glue on the sticker can go gooey and discolour the card, this happened with one of my sig's years back, there was sticky tape on the top loader where someone sent it to me and i put it away and forgot about it for a while. i only use the one touch now.
interesting to see what other more serious collectors have to say.
i would also be tempted to sell the ablett and catch a redeemed one later, but they all could be the same!!
