The final pieces to my Nique Star Co. project.
The 5x7 I bought raw and graded via COMC.
I am pleased as the card cost me under $10 but a bit annoyed with the grade. 9 cent 9 Edges 8.5 surf but the annoying 8.5 on the corners is harsh. They are sharp and no whiting front or back. Should've got a 9 easily. Anyway, grabbed a Gatorade slam dunk and Best of The Best raw. Should get 8/8.5 (based on above grading) on both which will be cool. Went in a Flawless break which yielded the Birdman /15 and a couple of nice dupes of Ennis from Flawless /5 Emerald Patch RC and Noir RPA with a nice patch piece too.

Yeah had to be graded where possible. I literally just posted the 3 raws off to Beckett. Hoping for 8.5s on the best of the best and gatorade slam dunk (the rear centering is crap though) the 84 slam dunk should do better. I toyed with cracking the BCCG one as well but figured it isn't worth the hassle.
 
Go big or go home is what I say! heh heh Nice Ennis Flawless patch /5 - which is a duplicate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update the Gatorade (green) got a 9
The 84 Slam Dunk got a 9 and the Best of the Best 0?? Not sure what the story is there as it's full size and in as good a shape as the other 2. Will be a mystery until I get them back in hand.
I am hoping they have effed up but I guess they'll have a reason attached if there was an issue. Still, pretty happy with 2 of the 3 getting a 9.
 
Sweet cards! Those grades aren't too bad considering the cards are over 30yrs old! I didn't know they were doing 5X7 cards already back then. I thought it was just Panini being annoying with those box toppers these days lol.
 
Ok so my MMB box arrived today and whilst many a goodie lay inside, my only interest was WTF was with my Nique Best of the Best not getting graded by Beckett. Quite simply put on a very professional post it note:

What the fcuk???? But you still charged me for the "service" of not grading my card!!!
So they DID grade them at one point (pop report shows last graded ages ago) but not anymore.
FFS so, you'd be a fool to buy the MJ from this set raw hoping for a 9+ as it won't get graded.
Cop out IMO....I am well pissed as now I have to wait for a graded to show up somewhere from years ago to complete the set. SMDH
