Okay, the teasers have been on my latest mail day threads and here it is. After being shipped and not taking to long to get here, this is what I had building up at Comc for most of the first half of the year. Also some challenge money from Comc also helped this mail day.

First I'll get the non NBA card out of the way. Being new to Nascar cards, I thought this was kinda cool of the Tasmanian Devil, Marcos Ambrose. This is an event used tire card with what I guess you could call a patch....

Ok now that is out of the way, lets move onto NBA related matters. Starting off at the bottom, are these Random Sonics cards. First 3 cards (Brown and Johnson x2) are cards going towards what will hopefully commemorate the only Sonics Championship team. The Perkins is going towards a Perkins rainbow chase.

Next we have some Sonics autos and Memorabilia cards. Love most of these guys in one way or another when they played for the Sonics. The Mason is a rookie one that I used to love when it came out. I couldn't resist the Lewis as a cool looking card. Lenny, Xavier and Spencer are Sonics legends and the Ewing was just interesting as it was a 1 season deal at the Sonics I think.

Next we have some gap fillers in my Shawn Kemp PC. The Skybox card at the bottom is the Reebok variation, and the 2 hologram cards at the top are some old school favorites of mine.

Next we have soem gap fillers in my Payton PC. Bits of old old school Payton that I just couldn't pass up for cheap.

Next we have 2 cards to tie into my collection of Oregon State University. As I already collect 3 players from there (Payton, Brent Barry & Jared Cunningham) I thought I might collect a couple of others. First is of Lonnie Shelton, who also played with the Sonics for a double tie in. The other is of AC Green, once considered the "Iron Man of the NBA" for his consecutive games played streak beign a record. That is my first and only letter, however I will probably not collect the letters of Oregon State.

Now we move into the PC thats had the most focus from me of late and one that has given me the most joy, the Jared Cunningham PC. First up, these are just some base rookies, parallels, inserts and numbered cards. The TC silver is particular important as with one more from this lot as it gives me every listed rookie card of Jared Cunningham in hand. The green prizm is also particualrly nice. Also of note is the 11/12 Past and Present card in the middle row as it gives me 100% of all that years Cunningham cards.

Next we have some Cunningham autos and memorabilia cards. The ball card from innovation is a kind of neat throw back of sorts to the old school ball cards I used to like. The Gold Standard Mother Lode is another of the newer autos of his and teh Rated Rookie is probably one of the harder ones to find as they are only /50 and beign a Panini base product card, not a lot got busted I think.

Ok, lets move into the nicer ones. Below we have my birthday present to myself this year, a Select Gold Auto /10. Just a lovely card in hand. Always dreamt I wanted one but never thought I would and got it for a nice price. The other Intrigue card is the last card I needed for the rookie card set. Being /25 and from a redemption, this was the one I was the most scared of not getting. It finally got into the market early this year and as soon as they hit ebay, I chased that one down. A nice card.

And to round it out, these 2 Jared Cunningham Immaculate cards. The Cap card has a little story in that I won my first one on ebay and it never got sent. It had a similar patch on it to this one, and I thought I never would find another. Then to my suprise later, another one came up so I snapped it up. Possibly my nicest patch piece in the Cunningham collection. The other out of /75 is a nice piece also with a couple of pieces of lettering on it.

So there we go. A nice first successful foray into comc. In all the Cunningham chase goes to 80 cards now. The next chase from comc is already building. So thanks for looking folks. Got me some scanning to do!
