Hi all, first of all I'd like to show a few cards from another chase that is going really slowly:p

97/98 SPx Gold

I rate this set so highly, incredible design and the die cut is perfect, not trying to be too edgy, just simple and effective. Upper Deck, please come back.

Next up is the last of the cards I needed to complete my 05/06 Exquisite base set chase. I got lucky in that, a full set came up on ebay so I grabbed that, which has left me with a bunch of doubles (a near full set).

These are actually pretty tough to track down now.

I know for a fact Iverson is being hoarded by a collector on HK. Not sure how many he's got.

I managed to add to my Gold parallel set chase thanks to @Matt26 for giving up the Nash. This chase is also going a little slow for my liking.

And lastly, 2 of the most difficult to obtain. Probably the only time Q. Rich will be sitting next to M.J in any discussion.

There is a collector on HK who is hoarding Jordan and Q. Rich (yes the Q. Rich one baffles me too). Apparently he has over 100 of each and counting. Amazing.

This is why I had to grab the full set, now I got em all:whistle:

Thanks for looking, this set is pc and will not be leaving for a long time. So many great players and just an awesome design.

Awesome work landing the set. Awesome looking base set design. I feel like panini could learn from Exquisite as to how to make a high end collectable base set. I know flawless was chased, but I think the gimmick and the low numbered set is what made that chase worthy. I'd really like to see something nice come out of NT or something like a nice foiled action shot on a thick stock card numbered /199 or something.

I couldn't agree more.

I really like the design of 09/10 Nat Treasures and feel it's one of their best base designs.

But now they've stuck to the white background for too long.

Flawless base design is pretty weak IMO and yeah the /20 thing is all that gets it over the line, it looks just like 12/13 Nat Treasures:confused:

Maybe later in the year, Panini will bring out something special with the next edition of Flawless/Immaculate.

Other than the serial number hiw different are those spx gold from the grand finale ones?

Wow man you smashed this set out! Can't believe how quick you knocked it over.

If you come across a sending GP SPX gold let me know ;)

I haven't seen a Grand Finale, but Steve (Spurlec) told me they are EXACTLY the same.

Cool. I didn't really know that set existed, I thought those were Grand Finale!
Might chase that myself as i also love the design on those but wouldn't dream of trying to put together all Grand Finales!

It's kinda pointless having serial numbered parallels when all they offer is just a serial number and the rest of the card is the same as a base set which is more common...
