Unless its a bad angle, I am 70%-80% sure pack 2 is a fake as it appears that the blue is touching the word basketball (unlike the other two which have the white border). It all depends if fleer changed packaging or not.

WOuld PSA grade a fake one? From memory they all grade quality not authenticity?

do you think even if they are PSA graded they can still be fake? we have brought 4 of these two each from different sellers only that one looks like that is number 2 , ive heard of this as being fake before? I also havent seen anyone pull a jordan RC from a graded psa pack?

^ Pretty sure PSA grades on authenticity as well.

Are you serious, you've got 3 to open??

They're like $350-$400+ a pack!!

What are the grades?

I seem to remember Graham saying recently that Steve Hart from BBCexchange.com is involved in the grading of 1986 Fleer NBA packs and boxes for PSA. If you are doubtful it might be worth confirming with him perhaps?

I have two and ripsnorta has two he has allready opened one and got nothing , the sticker was real Alex english.
The stickers on the 3 unpoened packs are Magic , Akeem and D.Wilkins .
They are all graded 8
Im only probably going to open one unless it gets the better of me sitting ofn my self??

Oh, about the touching the blue, these two are from BBE's website:

I doubt these guys would ever sell a dodgey pack!!!

This one you can still see a very FAINT white boarder between the basketball and blue (i know they switched to the design pictured after the first batch was produced with the thick white border).

The fakes out there that I have seen are completely blended into the blue.

I guess you could see these are the old age Exquisites!

1 Pack, big dollars, could be hit or miss... lol.

well to be fair, the cards where put in a certain sequence. So if you busted enough of these boxes, you would knwo where to find the MJ rookies almost. It is highly likely that most the graded packs don't have a Jordan Rookie.

True , this will be a very nervous bust!! tonight
These are the two i brought from the same seller, 1 is and 1 isnt touching the blue but after a closer look there is a very faint spot of white between.

it looks a bit better from that picture.

How does the back look, both nicely folded ends? or one totally flat unfolded?

fine line indeed haha.

The fakes generally where not foldered well on the bottom or at all. These look to be foldeed correctly.

Looks legit enough (or an excellent fake) with the close up shoots you provided.

I have been told that another way to tell is if the card on top has a wax mark or not. That wax mark takes quite a while to develop.

no mojo guys , thanks for the info still have one pack that i will sit on
2 packs had nothing
1 pack had kmalone , jabbar and a couple of other ok ones .

So wait if cards are inserted sequentially into packs... Isnt it extremely unlikely you will pull a jordan? As other people know this and will only be selling off packs they know don't contain anything worth a damn. Knowing this info, I don't think I'd ever open a pack myself. Anyone got a YouTube link to somebody actually pulling a Jordan rc?
