GENERAL SITE RULES
Registration to this forum is free! We do insist that you abide by the rules and policies detailed below.
a)OzCardTrader is a friendly environment for collectors and traders to enjoy. Any abusive, harassing, trouble making, fighting, baiting, rude posts, or any posts we believe go against the spirit of OzCardTrader will be removed at the discretion of admin/mods. And no, we don't need to give you a reason.
b)No posting or republishing of Private Messages is permitted on OzCardTrader. All posts of this nature will be removed at the discretion of OzCardTrader Admin/Mods.
c) While the administrators and moderators of OzCardTrader.com.au will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. If you find any content, posts or Private Messages on the Forum that you object to, there are reporting tools available which will alert us to their existence. The reporting tool is to be used for reporting to the Admin team any problems on the site. This may include spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, trouble making, fighting, or rude) posts. While we look at every report, we may not respond to you individually with the results. We will take whatever action we consider necessary based on your report. We endeavour to action all reports within 24 hours.
d) OzCardTrader should be considered a family friendly website. A swear filter is in place to edit out accidents, but repeated attempts to get around the filter with use of symbols and other letters will not be tolerated. We also ask that pictures of half naked women are not posted in signatures/threads/avatars. Some people read the site at work and can cause issues if that kind of material is posted. Offenders will have content/posts removed in the first instance and a notice given. Repeat offenders will be issued site suspensions and/or bans.
e) You agree not to post any posts or private messages of an abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, discriminatory, racist or sexually-orientated nature or any other material that may violate any applicable laws. We also don't condone the posting of threads involving either politics or religion. Offenders will have content/posts removed in the first instance and a notice given. Repeat offenders will be issued site suspensions and/or bans.
f) Deceit in any form is frowned upon. For example, full disclosure and honesty of the condition and authenticity of patches or autographs on items is expected. Not doing so is considered deceitful behaviour. This rule extends past the realm of OzCardTrader.com.au eg eBay - shilling your own eBay auctions (shilling is bidding up an item you listed to get a higher final price by using another account you or someone you know owns to bid up the price). This is also considered deceitful. If it is discovered that you have knowingly deceived or ripped off another collector anywhere in the world, you will be suspended or banned from this site. You represent the site and the protection of our member's integrity is priority number one.
g)No links to external sites may be used in posts or signatures. Any links found with external links in them will be removed at the discretion of OzCardTrader. This includes referral links.
h) Threads with spoiler results, particularly in the thread title, but also in posts, are strongly discouraged. If you want to chat about a result, the thread title must be clearly labeled with the term “SPOILER” and not give any information away about the event in question. Please respect the enjoyment of other members who have not been able to catch the game yet.
i) If you break any of these rules listed here, it may lead to you, at the discretion of the admin, being immediately and permanently banned.
j) Members are allowed only one (1) login each, and any additional logins created/registered may lead to the suspension and banning of all of the users accounts. The IP address of all posts is recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions. All owners of computer networks should take ownership and responsibility for their network. If a post is recorded as coming from a network and it breaks any of the forum rules, OzCardTrader.com.au reserves the right to ban the IP address, or all memberships of all posters from that originating IP address. You also agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of OzCardTrader.com.au have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time for any reason whatsoever, and that OzCardTrader.com.au also reserves the right to modify members signatures for any reason whatsoever. OzCardTrader.com.au also reserves the right to ban any IP or Member for any reason whatsoever. All decisions regarding the warning, banning or suspension of members, or reversal of suspensions of bannings will be at the discretion of OzCardTrader.com.au.
k) You agree that posting threats of legal action against this website, moderators, admin, webmaster, members or any other person or company, will result in immediate suspension of your account. There is a time and a place if you wish to pursue such courses and the forum is not the place.

Selling and trading:
Trading and selling/buying is permitted on OzCardTrader.com.au. The site and its administrators accept no financial responsibilities/liabilities with respect to these transactions. OzCardTrader.com.au may be considered as only a venue where these deals can take place. OzCardTrader will not assist in any way with completing your deal so you need to ensure you cover yourself adequately or get enough information from the other person to cover yourself. OzCardTrader is only provided for a place for two members to trade cards/items and will not become involved in these trades or sales.
a) Members with less than 10 feedback on OzCardTrader MUST SEND FIRST unless the person can provide references from other trading websites and/or eBay with trading card history to the satisfaction of the member they are trading with.
b) All trades or sales must be posted in the Submit Sale & Trade Agreements forum and a response left by the other party agreeing to the deal. Cards/payment should not be sent until BOTH parties have agreed to the deal.
c) Deals are deals: once a deal is posted and both parties have posted that its going through members are to hold up their end of the deal. Changing your mind or altering the deal once this has happened is not acceptable and members that do this will be suspended or have their trading privileges removed.
d) Cards/payment must be sent within 2 business days of deal agreement being reached (unless an alternative arrangement has been met and agreed to by both parties in the Submit Trade/Deal Agreement thread.
e) Prices displayed on OzCardTrader.com.au should be taken as Australian dollar (AUD) amounts, unless otherwise (and clearly) stated. Furthermore, purchase prices shown should be considered separate from any shipping charges, unless otherwise stated. Please confirm total costs before agreeing to a deal in the Submit Sale & Trade Agreements section.
f) Payments MUST NOT be sent via PayPal as a "gift" under any circumstance. Sellers must not request payment as a gift. Sellers should either request Direct Deposit, or request the buyer pays the PayPal fees if they wish to avoid fees.
g) Selling or trading card(s) or boxes that you don't have in hand is not allowed. You must have the card(s)/boxes in hand before they can be included in a deal. This includes expressions of interest for purchasing cards/boxes/items, group buys, group breaks, presales of cases or any other variation of the wording unless approved under point (h)
h) Group breaks, group box buys, case shares, box shares (or any other name you can think of) can ONLY be approved by Admin. No members are allowed to organise group buys unless approved by OzCardTrader. This includes advertising or promotion of group breaks on other sites.
i) Mystery lots, super packs, mystery packs or any variation on that theme are not permitted on OzCardTrader.
j) Raffles, lotteries or games of chance or any competitions that require an entry fee are not permitted on OzCardTrader.
k) No auction style listings, or listings that involve bidding for an item. If you want to place an auction, take it to eBay - this isn't an auction site.
l) Be sure to get adequate contact information from the person you are dealing with. We do not store other members information - this is YOUR responsibility. OzCardTrader will not assist in any way with completing your deal so you need to ensure you cover yourself adequately or get enough information from the other person to cover yourself. OzCardTrader is only provided for a place for two members to trade cards/items and will not become involved in these trades or sales.
m) DO NOT POST IN OTHERS BUY/SELL/TRADE POSTS UNLESS IT IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO MAKING AN OFFER TO TRADE, BUY OR SELL THE ITEMS LISTED.
Packaging:
Absolutely no sending in white envelopes under any circumstances. The minimum amount of protection when sending all cards is as follows:
a) Each card to be in a penny sleeve, always.
b) Cards are to be placed in appropriately thick top loaders, secured by tape at the top.
c) Cards to be sent in a bubble mailer.
In the event of sending a large number of cards, where individually placing each card in a top loader is not practical, the cards should be well protected between cardboard/top loaders and posted in a box or bubble mailer.
Postage methods that are NOT approved :
a) Cards in a white envelope, regardless of individual card protection - sending in white envelopes is not to happen and will result in a negative being left for you.
b) Cards sent in a penny sleeves or team bags without any other protection.
c) Careless packing methods, such as sending cards in top loaders without tape/team bag to prevent the card slipping out and being damaged.
d) Cards shipped in snap-tight cases with rounded corners.
e) Any other way you can think of that will cause a card to be damaged.
Other sites do not have rules for these sorts of things, and we have seen far too many cards damaged from poor packing. The white envelopes in particular are a no no - we have it from an Aussie Post employee that these white envelopes go through an automated sorting machine, which explains some of the damage we have seen to cards/top loaders sent in plain envelopes. Bubble mailers do not go through this process, so the chances of damage are far less likely.
If you need assistance with advice or supplies to package cards correctly, please create a post in our Site Suggestions/Site Help forum and someone will be along to assist.
Negative feedback can and will be left for members who do not follow these packaging rules REGARDLESS of whether the cards were damaged or not.
