Thanks for your blessing Matt....lol, please all keep in mind that when i was dealing with this person i 1) didnt think i had any reason to be suss as ive had nothing but good dealings on here and at these shows. and 2) yes i was warned but i believe in benefit of the doubt and a second chance.
This is what happened at the last Sydney show, i will not mention names or even the cards involved as i think a few people noticed what was going on and i would prefer not to involve them in this, rather if this is to be posted for everyone to see it should be used as a warning never to deal with this person and not give him the benefit of the doubt as i did, even after i was warned.
At the last show in Sydney, there was a spare table setup or empty and a few were using it to trade/sell between eachother. I always take my trade bait to these shows and i walked over to see if i could get involved. Whilst trying to complete a deal with another member the person in question walked over and asked if he could take a look at the cards i had for trade (i will say that it was the person in the youtube video posted already in the thread) naturally i said yes that he was more than welcome. The cards he took a liking to were some what high end. After completing the initial trade i had going with someone else i was warned by 2 different people to be careful of dealing with this person. I took the advice and decided to try a smaller deal first. So i picked a card that i wanted from what he had and offered him a card he was interested in. Naturally he jumped on it as i was giving him alot more value which ever way you look at it. I had a quick glance over the card he gave me (my first mistake and i have nobody to blame but myself as upon later inspection the card was damaged on the back but covered up with a pen or some kind of ink, photos of this are available at any time for proof) anyway i accpeted the trade as the higher end stuff if completed correctly would have been very beneficial to me, not only in terms of $$ but also with the card i would have recieved in the deal.
Moving to the next deal, the card he wanted from me as i stated was somewhat high end and yes it was a Michael Jordan card, after offering me 30% of my asking price i laughed it off and truly believed this guy cant be that bad can he? after futher discussion i became involved in another conversation for literally 30 seconds, and when i turned around this person was on the otherside of the room talking to somebody else, my Michael jordan card was gone. I immediately walked over to him and asked for my card, he had placed it in his "box/pouch" that he had his other cards in and when i wasnt looking he walked off!! I stayed as calm as possible considering this act would usually involve a flogging for even trying it. He took the card out and handed it to me stating "i thought you agreed to the deal", i can assure you all that there was no deal set. I took the card back and walked off, he then followed me and said "ok i will give you $*** (my asking price) but will pay you by paypal next week, you have to give me the card today though".................after what he tried to pull on me hes lucky it didnt turn nasty at that point. I calmly told him that i didnt want to deal with him any further.
The reason why i havent mentioned this before is because i was warned about him by 2 experienced and respected members of OCT, and even though i tested him with a smaller deal first it is my fault for giving this scumbag the benefit of the doubt.
This is what happened on that day.... i was given a card from him touched up with ink (my own fault).............. and he also took my card without my knowledge and just walked off!! Un-bloody-believable!!!.........i have no time for the goose and neither should anyone, i stand by my original comment in the thread, for his sake i hope he doesnt show up at the next show.
