My brothers dog ate 315.00 of my cash. And sh@t out only pieces. The bank won't exchange it.and my brother wont offer to pay for his f-ing dogs debt. What would you do in this situation.?.

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

I know that I will cut my losses but I know that if it were my dog eating someone elses money I would pay it back to that person because it's my dog and I am responsible for it. It's the right thing to do. However my brother isn't even offering to do that even though ita his dog.
My question is what would you do? That's alot of money and it certainly isn't my fault. Is it the dogs fault and he obviously can't repay his debt or is it the owners fault to repay. What do you think.

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

Haha I reckon just let it go for now. He's your brother. Maybe expect something in the future from him though as a way of saying 'sorry' ;)

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

Your brother should pay you back, he is responsible for the dog. Unbelievable story though, wouldn't really think a dog would eat money...Its like when kids at school tell the teachers that the dog ate their homework

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

DEfinitely your brother's fault. He is responsible for the dogs behavior - regardless of where it is. $350 is a lot of money especially with the US in a recession right now. Yeeowch.

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

funny story, though not so funny your now out of pocket, think you have to cut your losses and take a bit of responisbility for the situation, best thing you can do from this is learn to take better care of your money, can't blame the dog it doesn't know better, can't blame your brother don't think he'd feed the dog money on a regular basis, think it's just bad luck to be honest

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

Sounds like common decency does not exist with the dog or your Brother. My guess is that your brother is younger and possibly the youngest in the family. (my young brother does not seem to give a rats about anyone but himself either) I have not spoken to him for a while now. Never been a better relationship

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

My brothers dog grabbed a card I had sitting on the lounge and chewed it up, he offered to pay for it. It was only $5 though, wow $315!!! I'd kidnap that ****in dog and he wouldn't be gettin it back until I got that money farrrrrrrr out

unless you have heaps of $$ and can forget about it, may keep the relationship more friendly

Re: Damn Dog ate my money!

That dog is funny. That story is hilarious. Your brother sucks. Not the dog's fault and you can't tell it off, so there's no point in it being punished. Just keep pressing your brother to pay you back in small installments.
