Celtics v Heat 2011 Playoffs Second Round Thread **SPOILERS INSIDE**

"I refuse to believe that this is Kevin Garnett. This must be a Boston gov't funded cyborg created in the basement of Stephen King's mansion." - Walton again!!! Dude is on fire!!!

Hit record on IQ, didn't get up till 11 and start watching the game from then. When I watch games live I prefer having just the commentary from the television

Massive win for Boston. Heat answered their first wave well in the 2nd quarter, in the 2nd half the Celtics went on another run, and this time the Heat didn't respond. Poor showing, lack of effort. Bosh thoroughly abysmal today as well. And Coach Spoelstra, Bibby & Z in the starting lineup have a combined +/- of -69 this series. When are you going to learn?!?!

We started both halves terribly, only got into the game when 'Rio and Joel got into it (Joel is playing with so much confidence BTW I don't think he's ever made that many layups in a game before without botching some catches, they used to say he has "saucepans" for hands).

Annoying, but reality is Heat are up 2-1. Hopefully they get at themselves for such a poor 2nd half showing and respond properly in Game 4.

Celtics did what they had to, end of story. Only hope West can run things decently next game without Rondo.

I don't know how anyone can make the NBA and have the label of saucepan hands lol

Damn it Heat. A sweep would have been so good and would have shut the C's right up :(

Obviously would have shut them up cause they'd be out.......

Jmibo - why didn't they put Bosh on KG?? Anthony was getting abused down there...Bosh hardly even played in the 4th and wasn't switched on KG when he scored 14 in the 3rd.....

As if Rondo won't play next game...

Beat me. Coach Spoelstra sometimes is an idiot. That and why he continues to start halves with Bibby and Ilgauskas is beyond me...:(

This is why the C's are still well and truly in the series. They've made some adjustments and blown them out. Will be interesting to see what Spoelstra comes back with for game 4. Doc is right on top of his guys and what they're capable of. If a bum like me can point out that Anthony is toast down there time after time and nothing changes (I think they threw one double team at him, then abandoned it) then it gives me great confidence as a C's fan that Doc will keep us in this series and Spoelstra will too!!!

I read it best when a Heat journalist from Miami wrote "Spoeltra is never proactive, only ever reaction" obviously pointing out that Spo never thinks ahead, doesn't often make great adjustments and only changes things when they are going really badly (tonight he didn't even do that).

After a dislocated elbow like that I don't know how you can say it like it's no big deal lol
Either it's balls and heart or a show of little faith in his backup to run the show maybe

I'm not saying it's no big deal. But if the kid could come back into the game and play, that indicates the risk of him destroying his arm wasn't that bad otherwise they would have held him out. Hence I see no reason why he shouldn't play in 2 days time, with the added rest & recovery time, as well as the fact that he said he would play in the post-game interview and it's also such an important game.

Thing is with the elbow is it was loose and the adrenalin was flowing - it'll stiffen up something proper now and will probably be worse. He'll play alright but obviously won't be 100%. Delonte's shoulder is also no good according to Doc from the Press conf.

As for Spoelstra - interesting observations. So if plan A doesn't work, plan B gets thought of after the game....

I'm repeating myself I'm repeating myself.

Yeah I'm not so sure with Rondo. They said they popped it back in, jabbed him with some painkiller? Running on adrenalin, man, I hope you're right for once jimbo

Yeah well that's just my opinion anyway Matto. ljandkg's above post seems to know more about actual injuries. I'm just guessing what I think will happen, I'm no doctor and have no idea how the elbow will be. I just assumed it would automatically get better, but I could be well wrong and it could get worse like ljandkg has said.. Nobody likes to see a player take a fall like that, opponent or not.

"If Chris Bosh were a superhero created by the incomparable Stan Lee, he most definitely would be the Invisible Woman." - Bill Walton on twitter!!!!

then he comes out with this one on rondo:
I haven't seen a one armed man cause such an uproar since Richard Kimble became The Fugitive!!

LOL GOLD!

Ha! I'm no doctor! Rondo said in the post game it was throbbing and the adrenalin was flowing. If he was 37 like me he'd be sore for a month! I'm just presuming it'll stiffen up and be worse. They'll be treating it a LOT over the next few days. I'd imagine he'll have some fun sleeping tonight...

RONDO IS A WARRIOR!!!! Hate to bring him into this again but we can all agree and say this guy pisses us off heaps >>>> Murke!!! ... wonder what stupid excuses he would come up with to turn rondo's bravery into cowardness lol.
