I'm on a pro, and am struggling, got injured for 20 odd days and my team is 26-33

just won rookie of the month also so I hope this doesnt affect my rookie of the year chances

anyways, keep it on pro, but use the game sliders to make things a little more difficult if you find its getting too easy

or do the reverse, put it on all star then use the game sliders to make it a little easier

can someone help explain the game sliders a little better??

everyone keeps talking bout game sliders but xbox doesnt have them in myplayer, if they do i cant fricken find them....are u on ps3?

I just had a quick look and I get the options of Default or Simulation for the sliders.

On a side note, does anyone know a way to change position of your player? I spend most of my time at the 3, even though I started as a 4. So I wanna change to the 3, so I can at least start.

Man I got bored of the Blazers, particularly cause they kept losing so I went to "My Trades". Saw that the Bucks were interested in me, they were 17-11 at the time for 4th in the East and I thought I'd slip in great next to Brandon Jennings in the backcourt and another Aussie like Bogut at the pivot.

I requested the trade but by the time it'd gone through it changed again and I ended up with the Pacers! Grrr!

They are 11-19 and 11th in the East. So now I'm on my 4th team (Thunder, Jazz, Blazers, Pacers) but this is the worst one I've been on yet. They have a cool young lineup though with Darren Collison at PG, me at SG, Danny Granger at SF, Tyler Hansbrough at PF and Roy Hibbert at C.

I'll play the 5 mandatory games and see how they go. They are cool and young, I could probably turn them into a winner. If not, I guess I could go to my 5th team in 32 games hahaha!

^lol! yeah i started in NJ, bounced to the warriors after about 10, played about 20 games there but wasnt getting enough mintues at the PG position, hard rotating with me curry and Ellis, plus ellis is a ball hog! and the constant losing didnt help, so put another trade hoping to land a contender, orlando, miami and lakers were all interested, but ended up in Atlanta! not so bad though were 5th in the east when i came to town now were 4th!

Did anyone else get the system update and notice that it tweaked the gameplay in My Player mode???

A few things. You can't cherry-pick on the outlet pass and turn it into a fast break anymore (just doesn't work). Also you can see exactly what plays the team is calling and you have to follow them otherwise you essentially don't get the ball. This sucks because it means a lot less isolation and free-lancing, which is the type of game that I love the most.

That's where I was getting all my 35 point 8-9 assist type nights. Now I have to wait for the PG to pass me the ball in the set play, even if I run into his face he won't give it to me if it isn't part of the designated play.

I understand it's about making it more realistic, but it's a game for a reason as well. People like playing it because they can control it. Seems like less of that now.

In addition it looks like they made the difficulty harder. I play on Pro which is the lowest but my guys jumper has got worse in game, and he doesn't dunk easily like he used to. Looks like they have fiddled with the attributes etc.

That said my new Pacers lost the 1st game but now have won 2 straight against the Knicks and Spurs (3rd best team in the West at 24-11) so we're putting it together.

I probably won't keep up my 27 PPG average with these set plays now, but last game I had 17 points, 12 boards, 2 assists and 3 blocks. Pretty good for a SG.

I've won Rookie of the Month for both Nov and Dec so far and am leading Evan Turner as the #1 candidate so far for Rookie of the Year.

Played 36 games. All-Star selections will be announced in the next 10 games so looking forward to playing in the Rookie Game, and hopefully I can be an All-Star!!

I've played since the update. The first quarter i was very frustrated and thinking that it would probably stop me playing it. However, by the end of the game i was 26-14-6-2-2. Played a couple more games since then and have gone quite well so i'm starting to like it.

I made the all star rookie team and the all star game itself. Didn't let me actually play the rookie game and gave me 2 minutes in the allstar game. A couple of games after the allstar game i also made the cover of Sports Illustrated and was told a signature shoe deal may be right around the corner. Less than 20 games until the playoffs.

After my coach got sacked for the 22nd time this year i just ignore it, actually its alot easier because when you answer arrogantly to the sacked coach question you get high marks across the board

So 1 Thing i am doing is not touching the upgrade thats for sure!!

so the grizzlies are 30 - 35 about 3 games away from a playoff spot so I am in a little trouble

Key game last night i had 31 at the half and we were up by 20

subbed of for majority of the 3rd and a little of the 4th and the boys had choked like usual to only be up by 5!! anyways we won, so with 17 games left i reckon I need to win at least 13 to have a shot at playoff action

I am getting better which helps my team win so hopefully we can win 13 of the last 17 and make the playoffs

Just realised i was injured for the allstar game, kind of dissapointed i didnt get to play in the rookie game

won Player of the week last week which was unexpected, have won 1 rookie of the month, was in line for a second but got injured again!!

I am pretty sure I should win it this month, but with only 2 ROM awards im not sure if that will get me over the line for rookie of the year!!

ive won November, December Rookie of the Month (In January now and will win that too!), player of the month for December (will win January as well for sure!) won 8 straight rookie of the months, 3rd in the west and about to take over the mavs for 2nd spot. Leading ROY and MVP races but have NO votes for all star game?? played the celtics last night, had to restart it cos i refuse to let the AI dictate that badly as it did. it was 28-2 after the first quarter, i hit the first shot then 0 OF 9, no one else got hit a bucket, dwill missed a dunk AND a layup! quit the game then came back and droped 61 and smashed the mongrels by 23....i cant hit 3's though, in practice i drop them from everywhere (i have an 83 rating for 3's) but cant hit em in a game, played the wizards and thought ill practice, 2-19 from 3 point land!

oh i dont mind taking a loss but only if its fair.....im not going to be screwed over by the AI, i was on an 8 game win streak, team was leading FG%, blocks, steals, assists for the month and we come to play the celts and it wouldnt let me hit a shot

Hmmm so they've changed the gameplay in My Player? I might go back then! I hated that you basically had to run around in circles with no structure to get the ball, and if you weren't a PG you couldn't call plays so the team would just basically stand around unless you forced them to move. I was seriously bored with My Player after only 31 games...so maybe this new structure will get me back to it?

Side note, other changes I have noted since the update are:
- Lay ins/around the hoop animation has changed. Used to be high on the backboard, now low.
- Seems that hand in the face on D doesn't have such a strong effect as it did so jumpers go down more often.
- Jury is out on other things since it seems few people are online to play by the time I am...which is annoying...cause everyone used to be on in that time slot!

Will have to re-check out My Player mode now. I've stuck with the Kings the entire time, so my Loyalty is in check Then again, I think we're 20-14 so doing well. (I've missed 3 games with injury)

I love the 3s! 31 games in I've hit ~120, and that's including when I was getting little to no court time. Since becoming a regular in the rotation I'm dropping 5 a game Last game I played I drained 9/11 on my way to a creer high 49 points in an overtime loss.

Yeah I can see why they have changed the game play for the play calling, more realistic, but I am in my third season, my Defensive Centre is now a 99 overall, but doesnt get any plays called for him. Pretty frustrating that you cant override it. I just keep getting told that i call for the ball excessively

I'm a 6'3 SG, 3pt specialist with 81 rating for 3s. 79 for Mid Range. I rarely get/go inside so I'm not going to score huge huge cause I rely on getting open jumpers. Overall rating 75.

Just had my 1st game in the "new" My Player. Jury is out, though I liked the better challenge. I went for 32 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks shooting 13/25 from the field. I was scorching from mid range, but it's harder to find triples under this new format so I forced it too much out there and went 2/10. My chosen jump shot style has changed slightly too in the update...I chose MJs shot and the release point has changed slightly. Inside scoring is now much much easier after the update...

2nd game since the update, managed to get over Boston I had 25 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals on 11/15 shooting and 1/2 from downtown. Didn't force the 3s so we got a win Much more realistic now with the plays in the game. Loving it!

Mine just did it automatically when I launched 2K11 last night.

I'm personally not a fan. In my opinion it makes the game boring.

If I wanted to be bored I'd watch some crap teams in the NBA play. It's gay because you can't force shots or anything or you get a bad rating - which for me is lame because I would generally take over the game each game. I know it's unrealistic, but that's the fun thing about it.

36 games in rated 62 overall, just not loving it.
