sorry mate just recieved notification of a lage bill that i have to pay, so will have to pull out. wife will not allow to spend anymore money for a couple of weeks

NRL SCANLENS COLLECTION

Well here it is folks, our NRL Scanlens collection.

Featuring 2 players from each team in 2009, there are 33 cards in the set. With one header card/checklist.

Boxed, and individually numbered to 400, the cards will be available from our website only, from Thursday July 1 at a cost of $400 per set.

There will be no wholesale prices for this collection and a limit of 5 per customer.

So get ready!!

And thanks for collecting Select

They look terrible, /400 is absolutely ridiculous. So $25 per team set? I think i will wait till these fail on Ebay. Not only do Select embarrass themselves with the junk they produce, now they are going to bring Scanlens' good name down with them.
 
Yeah they sorta look like crap. but im not suprised. Select only makes crap these days

Ive been watching this thread with big interest, hoping that select would give you guys something good. But yeah, looks kinda lame :(
 
Can you put me down for the Cowboys. My cousin is the biggest supporter ever and moved away from our family to Townsville just to get a membership and see there games! His birthday is late August and he would love these. Does anyone know who the players are? Will there be Soward?
 
i am with you, i was (yet again) looking forward to something really good and we got something mediocre, but i suppose that's better than nothing.....

and at $400 for the set of 33 that makes it about $13 - $14 a card so i suppose its ok, i cant wait to see what rip-off prices the ebay store sellers charge :lol:
 
The 2003 set didn`t look much either but people are paying $100 plus for some of the cards in that set ......In years to come there won`t be a lot of complete sets available as people have split them up so I guess they can only get more expensive ....

They're numbered out of 60 though, not 400.

And they look better in my opinion, the goal posts make them look more retro, these ones look like they were designed in paint!

They could have at least had say one card that is signed in every set ... say the Darren Lockyer is a signed card in each set. For the price you'd expect something like that.

Agreed..........I think you will see a lot of two card team sets on ebay going for way more than 13 dollars a card.........the value will be realised in having a complete 33 card set in years to come. What is frustrating is that Select indicated they were not releasing any more NRL product this year (NONE) then they come out with this. Timing is crappy for this release, right at the end of the fiscal year where not a lot of people have any spare coin to throw around and those that did have a little bit spare (like me) invested some of that in my non-sports PC............sucks................lol
 
I think our mates :mad:8088edge and Mr wang (cardzone):mad:
will be the ones getting the majority of these, I know it says 5 sets per person. But there is ways around this. And not everyone can sit by the computer all day.

So if anyone is desperate enough they will have to purchase them prob from the bay.

Just my thoughts
