Well forum is running a little bit slow. Since we had a thread about best video games of all time in your eyes. I thought this thread would be appropriate.
So a few simple questions
- How long you been gaming?
- What system you started on?
- How many systems do you have?
- How many games on each system (list them if you wish)?
- Favourite System overall?
I will post up my numbers later but I will answer some of these questions now.
- How long you been gaming?
I have been gaming since the 80s around the age of 3yr old.
I started in Europe when my parents owned an Arcade. Before I started school (PREP) I would spend my time in there all day gaming. Surprisingly enough I was better than most teenagers (as practice makes perfect haha). People wondered how a little kid of my age could be so good at these games.
They then found out my parents owned it. Not to mention I had some arcade machines in my house to play on too. The only game I sucked at was swimming, and strangely enough I can't swim in real life to haha (as there was no oceans withing a good 1000kms or more.
- What system you started on?
In terms on home units I started on pong which was like the only game on this machine.
But my true home console with multiple game support was the NES. My dad baught me a second hand NES for $50 when I was 8years old and now living in AUS.
- How many systems do you have?
I have the following systems
Consoles:
------------
- NES
- NES Toploader
- SNES x 2
- Sega Mega Drive II x 3
- N64 x 3 (I think I may have given one to my brother though)
- Gamecube
- Wii
- XBOX
- PS3 (Older model) may get a slim too
Handheld:
------------
- Gameboy
- Gameboy Pocket
- Nintendo DS lite
- PSP
- Favourite System overall?
For this I would have to say NES.
Reason behind this is because the games were HARD and there was no checkpoints. So you had to be more skilled and careful when playing, otherwise you would go all the way back to the start of the game.
My most played games were:
- Mike Tyson's Punch out
- Super Mario Bros 1 n 3
- Zelda II
- River City Ransom
- Smash TV
- Bionic Commando
- Gremlins 2
- TMNT
- Ghost Busters
