I've just picked up a card that im shocked to have paid so much for so thought i'd put the question out there.

What is the most expensive card you've bought and how much are we talking?

The one in my avatar - was holding out for about 7 years and in the end had no choice but to bite the bullet....some cards you simply have to pay what is asked as they come up so rarely.

Yeah i hear that man. I've paid some stupid money on cards for my PC lately just because they are really low numbered and if i don't get them now there's a fair chance i won't be able to get them again.

This one i just bought my PC player so im happy as it'll stay with me for a while.

heres my 2....the first was on ebay, the second on a deal outside the bay.

i'll suck it up and be the first to post prices, i dont give a toss, i own these b!tches and i paid cos i could at the time (cant now tho )...bit over $1k for both cards which i think is a steal considering the Pippen Titleist sold for for $1025 and its numbered to 6! (i got to it before that w@nker who buys up everything on ebay!)

well I dont have a jordan or lebron auto but I just picked up this CP3 RC AUTO, its the most ive paid so far.. Thinking of biting the bullet and getting a jordan or lebron auto tho, just to keep forvever.. Nice cards guys

well what are the prices you guys bought them for? haha I don't think it's much of a comparison if we're just showing the cards!

I'm not a HUGE spender like some of you guys. I think my two most expensive were:

03/04 limited logos shawn marion /75 (when i was collecting him) picked it up for just under $100 US and resold for about $110 US a few months later.

also there was a 03/04 ultimate collection rc auto of dwyane wade, my favourite card, can't remember how much in US$ but picked it up for around $120 AUD and resold it for $160 AUD a few months later.
