I have seen amazing patches in them too, funny thing is, a few have been from him.... so i tend to be cautious when looking at his auctions...

WoW how low can you get in life seriously lol, cutting cards and jerseys up to make a quick buck....
 
Well upon close examination of 1 of my cards just now as I database my Jason Smith collection, I realise I'm likely a victim! I have this "Patch" card, but it's just like all the other Bowman's and haven;t seen another Patch card in this set. This is #/25, so it's not your baseline card, but still...oh well :)

Any signs of tampering ben? Take a close look and see if you can see any handiwork especially around the patch and any evidence of slicing the card in half?

Nah doesn;t seem to be any. The thing that has me querying is you can see down to the sticky bit in the corner of the black bit. The card looks slightly raised around the patch/jersey window, but not to any suspicious levels I wouldn;t have said.

No evidence of card slicing. Card is the same width also as the others.
 
Its hard to tell from the scan, and really, would someone really go through the trouble to fake a Jason Smith card? :razz: How much could that possibly have set you back? But MAYBE thats what they plan on making you think...

Haha well it was the first release of GUs for the rookie class so made alot more sense back then. I have no idea what it cost. That was 6-7months back! Not much though.
 
There's a hologram for the 1/1 and the other for the auto.

The card looks legit, the asking price on the other hand is a joke :lol:
