i know this is the 'other' code to most people on these boards, but who is gonna be watching tonight??

The loss of Lockyer and the impending loss of Thurston has brought the Aussies back down to the field a little, and although i still think the Aussies will be too strong i think that the Kiwis will definately make a game of it this time as opposed to the final last year where the Aussies smashed them 58-0!!

Really excited about watching the QLD dominated backline hopefully finding a bit of space and showing off their skills.

Aussies 25 - Kiwis 18 is my pick :thumbsup:

Always have hope with the kiwis but I fear they may get well beaten......our backs are waaay too inexperienced...
 
Well there's no AFL on tonight and it's live in Victoria as well....there's about 9 Storm players involved....so there might be a fair few Vics watching!!!
 
if your quite confident on the kiwis to win i might go stick $20 on them :D
last time i saw they where paying $4 or so. but you cant go pass the aussies cant see the kiwis winning tonight even with thurstons ouit.
 
yeah, i wouldnt normally watch but no footy plus the fact that its this or 3 hours of ****ing big brother and its not a hard choice. should be a good match.

Seriously though, the Aussies will annihilate the Kiwis by at least 20 points.

Yeah, looks like Thurston will take the field, and in a double blow for the Kiwis it now looks like Ben Roberts is out. I guess it's a moot point now since Thurston will be playing, but which selectors wife did Prince sleep with to not get a call-up??? Forget the fact he's been playing better than Thurston or Lockyer, and had his team toppin the table for most of the year as opposed to second-last. When Lockyer went down, SURELY Prince had to be picked! But no, instead they went inexplicably for an extra forward masquerading as a five-eighth in Greg Bird. THEN they even call Cooper Cronk in as injury cover for Thurston! What were they gonna do if Thurston and Cronk went down, go through the Toyota Cup looking for replacements??? Rubbish selections, and I hope even more that the Kiwis win now. Even my father, a die hard Aussie fan, was thinking of switching allegiences for this game due to the selection debacle....
 
thats good for the rest of the nrl one less storm player it wont look like the storm vs new zealand now so cooper cronk misses out. Wheres scotty prince in all this bit dissapointing
 
Prince deserved a go but i still wouldnt switch support.

I also picked Australia by 20 but i dont think Thurston will be able to back it up for the cowboys this weekend.

Bird is not a 5/8, he only does well against small halves.
Gallen there ahead of Laffranchi ???
Crocker in when Lockyer was injured.... isnt that what a 18th man is there for, to cover injuries....

aussies for the win for sure and i have money on gasnier to score first try
i think i have a better chance of gaz crashing over first now cronk is out because the melbourne backs (folau.inglis,slater)no hes game and they no hes but with out cronk kicking to his melbourne mates i think the boot of thurston just might gaz's hands haha i hope
