G'day fellow lovers of small pieces of printed cardboard,

I have started to update my lists of Australian baseballers. I've created a checklist of every Aussie MLB baseballer, with every (known) card. I'm slowly making sure they are up to date, and are then turning these checklists into PDF files. In the PDF files, I have ticked every card that I own in the checklist. Any card that does not a have tick in the relevant box, I still need.

These checklists are based on the Beckett checklists - I use their set names etc, to make life easier when dealing with other people. Having said that, these lists are more extensive than the Beckett lists, containing additional cards not included in Beckett (mainly non-US cards), and sometimes even corrections (eg Shayne Bennet's list).

I'm going to start posting these lists as I get them updated - will take a while (plus I'll be interstate between the 12th and 19th). Let me know if you can help me out with cards I need.

If you want to use these PDF files for keeping a track of your own collection, simply download a copy of the file, and tick or untick the boxes as needed, to keep a track for each player you collect. Note - the links to card pictures won't work on the web or your PC ... just my PC at home :)

Quick note on the colors in the checklists:
Red background - 10 or less copies of that card exist
Orange background - between 11 and 100 copies of that card exist
White or Gray background - just there to help make it easier to read

I love those PDFs.
Anyway of sharing how you do them (PM if OK).

Cheers
Mat

They're webpages (html files ... or more specifically php files) from my old website that I've stripped out a bunch of data to just keep the checklist table, and then converted to PDF using Acrobat Professional.

I'm one of these old school types who thinks the best html editor is notepad :)

For those who haven't seen it, they're based on an old version of the My Collections tool on the Beckett website. "My Collections" is a pretty handy tool for keeping a track of collections ... unless of course you collect stuff that isn't American, in which case it probably won't be in their database :)

Mate these look smicko. Good work.

I tried doing the copy/paste from the Beckett My Collections but I found that I was needing to update it to much for the current players.

Then I created an Excel spreadsheet with a seperate sheet for each player. Then my USB went through the wash. The only file that wouldn't work was my card listings :(

Now I just pull out the collection to see what I have. Gives me a chance to go through them again and again :)

Mark.

After a 2 week hiatus due to having to have a life in The Real World TM I've finally gotten back online. Have sent out a few PMs.

Have attached checklists (and my wantlists of course) for:

Luke Prokopec
Joe Quinn
Ryan Rowland-Smith

Added checklist for the latest Aussie newbie:

Brad Harman

That about brings a wrap for my current Baseball wantlists/checklists. Hopefully will get some trades lined up soon.

If anyone is interested, I'll also be posting my wantlists for Aussie NFL, NBA and WNBA players on the respective forums in the near future too.
