I pulled the Draft lottery card in my first ever Hoops pack (also my first ever pack of cards). Had no idea of value so an older kid at school convinced me to trade it for a shiny Drexler/Jackson f2f. I still remember his annoyance when he realised after handing over the card that I had already written my name and info on the back.
Nice looking set this one and very, very different design to 1992-93. I like the bold name and stats on the back. Pulled the Tower of Power in the first pack which was cool because i'm pretty sure they were the rarest of inserts but then i was cursing because it happened to be Shawn Bradley. The Penny insert made up for it a bit in the next pack at least!
Edit: No mention of "Rookie" on the rookie cards is a bit of a fail for mine.
This was a really awesome set! The base cards (front and back) look great and so many amazing looking inserts! Unfortunately there was a little paper loss on LJ no matter how hard i tried to save him.
1993-94 Topps Finest - What a game changing set this was when it came out! The first chrome cards! Great looking set and @Lippo@GarnettFan4Life ... greening straight out of the pack! Either that, or Zo has some pretty funky looking sunscreen or something going on!
I've never owned a Topps finest card, and when I've heard of greening I just assumed the whole card or at least whole player. This is the first I've realised it appears in uneven patches on the skin.
Thoroughly enjoyed 93/94, looking forward to the rest!
