Warren, further point, yes i hate companies that tell lies, to which i have caught tla out a few times, point blank, and they admitted it to me on the phone.
Love supporting card makers like Dans nrl and the like, at least i know what i am getting without all the crap and lies.

Totally understand what you are saying but while you or any one else buys any TLA product where ever it is purchased from you are supporting the TLA brand ....

I don't anymore either as a reseller.
I was that close to removing all TLA product from the shelves but I hate to disappoint the local kids.
Took delivery of 3 boxes today and a few folders.
Won't bust again until something changes.

My son said today,go and see if Mark has any new elite.If not,check out his pop vinyls.I can,t win either way.

If you go to a restaurant and you feel they sell crappy food do you keep going to the same restaurant ????

The problem with that is what you consider crappy food may not be crap to others .....

Point taken with food, i would not pay for it if is was crap or the service if it was crap.
But we are not talking about a restaurant are we, we are talking about a company that tells lies and a product that we pay for up front, ie a player in focus for example, that is produced wrong, undercut , wrong details, etc, and told they would be reproduced early in the season once printers are back working and resent back to people that bought them, that is not going to happen, what round are we in.
Shall i go on about a few other things that are not in the public arena.

Wazza - Your right. But business is business. I made the decision to walk away from purchasing 12-20 cases a year for the reselling that I did on the side for that very reason.
But I would only be hurting myself if I didn't allow those who continue to support the product the opportunity to buy it from my store.
But buy it with the intention of supporting it myself I will not.

TLA is being taken over by QMS Media, not sure if it will make any difference to future offerings.

I know I am relatively new to the site and collecting NRL however is it not just about the enjoyment and chase of the cards/teams and if you have the cash full sets.
When you compare NRL to baseball / NFL / NBA they have long since gotten ride of master sets and it’s about players, base sets and the big chase...

They have over a 100+ different box options in baseball in a single year...

To me it’s about the enjoyment of collecting (both the highs and lows) , engaging with like minded people and the odd massive hit...

Yes it cost money and it’s not always perfect (show me a company that is).

I love getting my kid involved in this and hope to pass on the same joy I had as a kid to him....

I've spoken to a coupld of the larger resellers and all have said sales of Elite this year have been stronger than last year.

I hope its a good sign for the industry and I have to say I have bought more cards this year than last.

Mate of mine opened 5 (newsagent) boxes today, no rubies (or better). Still had one other hit in each box like young gun etc so can’t complain but seems a bit odd.

every year elite's set design frustrates me, $8 packs and half of them only have a parallel thats worth less than it costs to ship it. the set needs to have value for people who buy by the packet esp. if its being sold at newsagents
