#001 League Sensations & Young Guns (Framed Jersey Image on Page 13)

Doubt it. I know its a little different but I am still waiting to get my replacement league sensation card and i sent it in at the start of september!
Just heard from a reliable source {not in these words] That your card is safely on the way. They do have spares although it is a pretty lenthy process for them to reproduce the card again. I am guessing why they follow this procedure is to stop anybody else from doing just that. I have given my word that the process will not be repeated from me.

So back to the number #001 signature cards. When these show up for sale in which could be almost never, what would a fair price be for the 1/1 redemption card plus #001 signature card?

I reckon it is like how long is a piece of string really, they could vary greatly from team to team. I think so far the Eels was the lowest wasn't it at around $750. It would be harder to sell though wouldn't it having already been redeemed?

It is a very easy process to get a professional framing company to take out both the unpunched redemption card numbered 1/1 plus signature card numbered #001.

but don't you think if you were shelling out big $ since the jersey etc is all part of the set you'd want the whole set?

I agree that it is the card the is driving most of the value, but if I was going to be paying $1000+ I'd be wanting the full package, which works out to be somewhat of a challenge if the buyer and seller don't live close.

Also if any unredeemed redemption card hit Ebay right now the price would easily fetch $1000. I know that there are some haters out there in regards to the Nrl 1/1 redemption cards but at the end of the day they or the owner of that card can make their own price because of the fact that they own the market. 1/1 is what it is and if any other collector wants it then price is based on how much they really want the card.

agree entirely, which why it is pretty hard to put a fair price on one and I would suggest would vary greatly for different teams. Once they get into the hands of a passionate team collector there is probably no chance of getting them out of their hands without offering crazy figures. I know if I had Ennis, I wouldn't be letting it go (unfortunately it seems I never will).

This is why i have been chasing down the Parker signature card numbered 001 for some time now as i know that i may never have the chance to own it unless someone else is willing to trade me there's for mine (if you know what i mean).

yeah although, unless it's a knights fan who finds it I don't think they would be that keen on the trade. I hope it does turn up and you get it or at least get to see it. I would love to at least see the ennis if whoever owns it is on here.

id pay $1300-$1600/1700ish for most. Smith id pay double that (just me.)

kinda unlucky that the knights one is Boyd with everything thats happen

Strange enough, i actually like Boyd because i follow the Broncos and Queensland. I still feel that every single 1/1 redemption card are very under valued at the prices in which they have been selling for considering if it was most other sports these would be selling for double there current worth. I am also like you, $1300 to $1600 for the Broncos 1/1 redemption card is a pretty fair price if you ask me.

I'd say Boyd would get at least $ 1000, and could get more if you found the right buyer. It comes down to popularity of the player too. It's not easy to like Darius, he gives the worst interviews ever, he can't stay at the same Club so if you're a Knights fan it's tough given he now plays for the Broncos. And the biggest one for me is that he's a Queenslander! Find the right buyer though and you'll be sweet ☺

Pete i could not agree with you anymore on the price but deep down i most likely will just hold onto this rare signature card unless the Parker shows its face and i can have the opportunity to swap mine for theirs or a cash deal. I am not really fussed to be honest because the more we sit here and talk about these 1/1 redemption cards, the more i feel privileged to own one. You know what i am talking about as i am betting that you would never sell yours, right?

I've been supporting Manly for 20 years and apart from the Great Beaver Menzies, Brett Stewart has to be my favourite player so to get a chance to own something that is 1/1 by him was something I had to have. The timing probably couldn't have been worse, I'm getting married in May so I'm trying to save as much money as possible so $1400 was a stretch and I know I won't ever spend that much money on a single card again, much to my fiancés delight. It'll go well with some other things that I have got too ☺

If I had to jettison one of my cards into the sun, it would be the Boyd signature from last year. Worst Knights signing of all time, equal with Greg Smith, anyway!

Good luck selling the card for overs, you'll need it.

Are you sure he's the worst there's been a few, what about?

Russel Packer's 4 year deal, Luke McDougal was a cracker as well or maybe Albert Kelly or even Steve Walters and his 5 games must be up there.

Cheers
Ross

Hehe. I am no Knights fan but Darius Boyd is a great player when he is switched on. As for selling the 1/1 redemption card i think i am going to keep it and hang it up in the spare room.

PS that Manly signature card looks great framed up. Congrats on having an amazing 1/1 collectable.
