2014-15 NBA Free Agents & Signings

Reading on ESPN Wizards and Mavs in talks for sign and trade for Blair? Nothing mentioned for what Mavs would receive, I'm thinking a trade exception perhaps?
Yeah it's for one of the trade exceptions the wizards have, Dallas stole parson from the rockets mate, was very surprised to not see them Match the deal, parson will be an all star this year if Ellis pass's the ball lol

Expensive steal, but one the Mavs were in a position to do.

Rockets still did alright, Ariza was cheap!!

I do LOL at Ray Allen, one more run with Lebron or retire. Wonder how much he'll ask for.

Apparently Mike Miller has a few options too.

LeBron James gets all the attention, but the San Antonio Spurs are quietly and effectively rebuilding the team that just clobbered James to win the NBA Championship, 1200 WOAI news reports. The Spurs today announced that Boris Diaw, who was a key player in the Spurs Drive for Five, has been resigned to a new contract. As is usual for the Spurs, the terms of Diaw's agreement were not announced. WOAI.com - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.bBsKmWCc.dpuf

Marc Stein: ESPN sources say Dirk Nowitzki has taken bigger pay cut than previously thought. Deal finalized today at three years, $25 mil for Mavs lifer. Anticipated deal for Dirk was a structure like Tim Duncan's deal w/Spurs, but he took $5 mil less to help facilitate Chandler Parsons move Twitter @ESPNSteinLine - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.zM88z1Zz.dpuf

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has acquired Omer Asik, Omri Casspi and cash considerations from the Houston Rockets in a three-team trade that sends Alonzo Gee, Scotty Hopson and the Pelicans’ protected first round pick in the 2015 NBA Draft to the Rockets and Melvin Ely to the Washington Wizards. As part of the three-team trade, the Rockets have acquired Trevor Ariza from the Wizards. NBA.com - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.zM88z1Zz.dpuf

He is 35 now and hasn’t played in a game in more than two years, but Baron Davis insists he’s serious about a comeback in the NBA. Davis is in Las Vegas for summer league, just as he is every year. Only now, the former Cavs guard is looking for a job. Davis tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee during the New York Knicks’ playoff series against the Miami Heat two years ago. He’s still not 100 percent, labeling his health “somewhere in the 80s,” but believes he can contribute to a team and said he’d love to return to Cleveland. “Cleveland always has a special place in my heart because when I got traded there, people doubted whether I’d ever play and those fans embraced me and the organization embraced me,” Davis said. “At that time, I needed Cleveland more than Cleveland needed me.” Akron Beacon Journal - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.zM88z1Zz.dpuf

Wade's deal is IMO, really crazy on MIA's behalf. Rounghly $16m-$17m next season with an op-out option season after. Essentially paid a broken down player who's most likely going to NEED to provide more for MIA this coming season than last, $17m rental for 1 season.

If you had options, and looked around the league, look at all the players that have big contracts, tell me he's not worth $17m for 1 year?!?!?!?!

LOL @ B.Diddy!!! ha ha.

Monroe to PHO is massive for Suns, not sure how beneficial it becomes for DET. Would have thought they would want to keep Monroe, and instead were actually looking to trade Smith?!?!

Pelicans deal for Asik can be massive. Moves Davis to natural PF spot, and will allow Asik space underneath. Quite an under-rated duo, really!

Another update, Haslem returns to MIA for $2.7m space. Makes you wonder why he gave up the $5m (it was 5 yeah?) to return to a Lebron-less team, for almost half the coin.

This deal is for Wade is about loyalty and nothing else. Exactly the same as why Kobe got the big bucks. Wade looked after the heat organization so now they are looking after him in the thigh light of his career
