Dee/Saints was decent but they're two young sides who aren't lookling likely for the 8.

Didn't see much of Billings but Dunstan looks the goods.

Dees look more structured give them a couple years and they might be able to make a challenge for the top 8.
Paul Ross has made an impact immediately.
Bernie Vince looks like a decent pick up for them.
Still disappointed he's gone being a crows supporter but happy to get Matt Crouch out of it.

Great win from the Eagles, McKenzie had a blinder. Really hope they don't get cruelled by injury again.

Speaking of injury, looks like Jack Martin is headed for the knife.

Luke Dunstan with the first Rising Star nom of the year.

Im going the Patty Dangerfield Goal.
Didnt watch the essendon game so i didn't see much of daniher.
did see a bit in the Nab challenge. looks decent for his age

He's had problems for a while. Why he got passed over in the 2012 draft.

Would be happy to have him back at Swan Districts though :D

Yeah, i do remember talk about some of issues before the draft and hawthorn were willing to take the risk.
Its round 1 though would of thought he would of stuck it out a bit longer

Some players have all the talent in the world but zero work ethic, if hawthorn and there strong culture can't help him then no other club could if your hearts not in it it's not in it I guess, and it's a shame as he could have set himself up financially by being an afl footballer

The thing that I don't like is some of the horribly denigrating comments I'm seeing online. The average punter is not privy to his personal life, and has no idea where his head is at. AFL football is not for eveyone and this was a kid that was being written about before he was even drafted. He's not the first player to find the rigors of elite level football tough, and he wont be the last.

And you never know. If he does go back to the WAFL for a few years, he might find that confidence and maturity he feels he's lacking to give it another crack.

Cant believe Hawks won last night. No Mitchell, Hodge subbed very early in the third quarter, Roughy and Gunston both had average games, inexperienced defence, Essendon had all the momentum and we were playing extremely poor footy. But as I always say, the good teams find a way to win games they probably shouldn't. I've never been one to brag, my friends know this, extremely humble in victory always, but we shouldn't have won. Shaun Burgoyne is a true genius, and when the pressure is on, he always steps up to the plate. I don't like the word choke in footy, but not too sure how Essendon lost that game but you wont hear me complain :)
