Official 2013-14 NBA Regular Season Thread - SPOILERS!

Just reading this question on another site -
Should the Cavs trade for Melo?

What do you think of this?
I'm not saying Bennett is a bust (before anyone jumps in), but makes the knicks feel better about trading a star (Melo) for potential (Bennett)

Cavs should?? YES!! Definitely!

Knicks?? No way! They can't afford to give up their only player that currently sells tickets and get back ANOTHER injury proned C, a possible Kwame and another JR Smith!

Just when u thought it couldnt get any worse for the Lakers

http://www.nba.com/lakers/releases/131212steveblake_injuryupdate

now with Nash, Farmar and Blake all out. Not sure who gonna run the point now.

Losing ALL 3 point guards at the same time is freakish! Man, LA are gonna struggle for the next few weeks, at least until Farmar is back.

Mind you Nash is always injured. And even when he does play, he's basically just a shooter. He's lost his speed, he doesn't penetrate well and doesn't create. I much prefer Steve Blake playing over Nash which I never thought I would say.

^^^ Its only going to get worse for lakers fan.

Clippers are the new Lakers
Lakers are the new Clippers who were crap

Clippers aren't that good, Brooklyn beat them 9 today (Clippers reduced the score in garbage time) and Brooklyn are pretty ordinary. They may be 15-9, but they are also letting in 99points per game tied at 13th in the league. For their mantra about Defense with Doc Rivers joining them, I'm sure Doc would have wanted better.

Lakers are nowhere near as bad as the old Clippers. The Old Clippers were lucky to win 30 games in a season. Last year the Lakers won 45 games and now are around .500 mostly without their best player, Kobe Bryant. That's not old LA Clippers bad...

I wouldn't read too much in to the Clips/Nets game, Clips have been on the road and up against a team with a lot to play for, KG and Pierce wanted that game. Plus Deron is back and a huge difference maker when healthy.

You're right, the Lakers aren't Clippers bad. But they are bad. D'Antoni deserves some credit I reckon.

Injured center Tyson Chandler will go through contact drills this weekend and will be re-evaluated by the Knicks' medical staff on Monday, Woodson said. That means there is a possibility Chandler may return Monday against Washington or Wednesday against Milwaukee. Chandler has been sidelined since Nov. 5 with a broken right leg. A security guard at the Los Angeles Lakers' training center has been charged with stealing two NBA championship rings that disappeared last week. El Segundo police said in a statement Thursday that Eddie J. Monterroso has been charged with felony grand theft and burglary. He's accused of taking the rings and gift cards valued at nearly $20,000. USA Today Sports - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#sthash.OJM6sr0g.dpuf
