Official 2013-14 NBA Regular Season Thread - SPOILERS!

What's up with KG? 2 - 9 in 22 mins, 4 points only. His last few games have been below par and his usual standard.

Whats wrong. Hes old and wouldnt be surprised if he has a injury.

I knew the nets would be crap this year. They are old. The NBA is a quick game these days. Nets have no hope.

I think they will be forced to make some changes. Maybe trade Lopez as he's the only player they have worth anything. $90m luxury tax bill when you're headed to miss the playoffs means something has to change fast.

Prokorov won't like looking like a complete twat to his NBA peers thats for sure.. everyone laughing at another failed Russian experiment with two years fall-out!

Celtics he was leading off AND on the court. Nets he seems to be only doing the off court stuff and can't back it up on court. Must be tough. And he might be over it. And they have big issues there in BKN. A healthy Deron, Lopez, Joe Johnson, Pierce and KG sounded great. The reality is not so good... :(

End of days for the big man?

End of days for the big man?

Might be time to sail off into the sunset. I'd rather see him disappear and retire somewhere and rest that brain (and mouth) for a while or forever, than take a corny analyst role. I just can't see it. Too many restrictions, especially with live TV.

He must have seen SOMETHING in this team to waive that clause and have another go round. That or Pierce was a good salesman  Still early early days and it also depends on Prokhorov's patience I guess but he seems to have put all his eggs in one basket for the next 2-3 years.

I haven't seen one post game clip or any KG interviews yet this season. On my to-do-list.

Not sure if he could control himself on tv haha, maybe a coaching role?

But Lopez is there best player. They cant trade there best player.

No one in the NBA would be stupid enough to take Joe Johnson or Deron Williams.

Well thats what happens when you sign a rookie coach. They only have themselves to blame.

True. I think they hoped for Mark Jackson type success. Surround him with knowledgeable help while he settles in.... Looks like a deer in the headlights on the sidelines from what I've seen so far though. Hope he gets his footing and is able to make the transition to coach. He's seen almost every situation that a player could face, would have some epic stories and insight.

That's what they said about Amare. Those two players mentioned would generate plenty of interest IMO! Funny how the NBA works. Always gives players who know the "system" plenty of opportunities - second chances, comeback chances, big contract transfer chances....

It's still early days. They did beat the Heat.

People don't realise how big a deal losing a top level pg is. They're so important to your team, much like a good center.

If Deron was 100% healthy, things would be fine.

There is also no chance they trade Lopez.

It will not be too hard to make the playoffs in the East. Add in that they are in by far, the weakest division, they just need to be better than the Raptors and Knicks and they'll get 4th place.

The Nets should be a team that can do damage come playoff time, they have plenty of time to get it together!

I just worry about Kidd, I mean I don't mind him being there, but with Garnett and Pierce not having much left in their careers, I would have thought a stable playoff/finals coach would have worked better...

George Karl, could of been a better choice, with Kidd as an assistant maybe...

If they can work it out come playoff time, they are hard to match up against, that's for sure...
