2013 ESP Elite NRL Card Prices???

You only have to look at the 04 captains signature cards there were only 40 of each player and you can still today (nearly 10years after there release) pick the majority of them up any day of the week.......that tells me there aren't 40 serious collectors that collect everything....

Yeah but good luck finding 40 supporters of each team who are willing to put down $1000 for a card!

Cards are worth what people are willing to pay for them. Sellers have them listed for 750.........now they might not sell where other sellers who offered sigs in pre sales under valued the cards and there was a slater that got snapped up for a hundred bucks.

The league Sensations given the quality across the board and there only being 130 of ea will see I think them settling around 220 - 340 price and the future stars anywhere from 120 to 140 or so.

Im with you on this Craig.

The numbering means nothing. I pay $100+ for a 2011 Champions signature that is /600 and $30 for a top prospect /300.

Then i pay $500 for a 2006 Andrew Johns record breaker signature /100 but i pay $750 for a 2013 Traders Andrew Johns signature /208.

In reality its not the numbering its how hard they are to find in boxes/cases.

I hope i am proved wrong but the thought that you can buy a case for $1300 and then pull $4,000+ in value from is seems a little far fetched.

Gotta agree with you Craig
When Matt was busting yesterday and got 8 Signatures & 3 Gold fast & furious I thought Mojo but didn't do the numbers like you so you are gonna get a high end card in every box maybe two.
Why would you pay $750 bucks for a Slater or whoever when I can buy 5 or 6 boxes for the same price and get maybe 7 high end cards plus all the other cards that come in the box. They shouldn't be selling for more than $120 - $130 on average for the sigs and under $100 for the gold fast and furious.
Good Blog

That would all make sense to me. There might be a bit of give and take in that the Gold Fast and Furious would sell for less than a League Sensation, but I think if you pay over $150 for a League Sensation you're being ripped off.

In the short term, at least.

if you bust your boxes and want to move any league sensations sigs on for 150 i call dibs. PM ME hahaa

Cases are definately the was to go....trade/sell whatever doubles you get and start saving for the next case .....what would you pay $230-$340 for a league sensation when you are going to get 3 in a case plus 3 future stars some of you guys are saying are valued at $150+++ Cases are only $1300 do the maths that what the dealers do

If that's the case, and the league sensation cards signature cards are worth $100
- at that price Craig, I'll take everything you have!!
500 of the Allstar sigs from 2000, still go for around $100.
Funny that opinions on value usually depend on weather people are buying or selling!!

In a few months these cases won't be available. At all. Everyone wants a chance at a hit. And everyone can have one. It seems almost flooded with sigs... But it's better than the elite one in every 4 boxes was it? What a rip off. And a crap sig at that!

Just because there are better chances at sig pulls doesn't take from the fact that there are "limited" numbers available... The traders are still so high on price because there are still sooooo many cases and boxes around.... That no one will buy.. Elite will sell out.. And rightly so... They've given everyone a fair chance... Which I think is great.. It won't effect the value..... Once they are sold out they are sold out...... Then you pay whatever someone is willing to let go of them for!!

In the future, imo, it'll settle at around $280-$320 for league sensations, maybe $160-$200 for the future stars (team ones anyhow).

My advice... By them for cheap now... So we don't have to listen to you all complain later when they start settling at higher prices.

M.

I'll be very interested in seeing what those Future Stars end up at. Many of those players will never see 1st grade. I figured out why I hadn't seen much of the Warriors one - he was the first charged by the NRL for an illegal shoulder charge and got 8 weeks suspension!

I agree! The future force cards in the select sets were much the same.... Disappointing there are only 105 of each.... Should have been bumped to 300 if not 400... So it wouldn't dent a persons bank trying to get one when they're not worth it! P.S. I pulled the warriors one.. Lol..

Interesting....just funny that people they are worth anywhere near that money....maybe they are team collectors who just just in early so they can forget about it.
Obviously the cards are worth that much in this point of time if people are paying those prices. Cards, like anything, are worth what someone will pay for them. Prices will obviously change over time but yes they are worth that much right now if people are buying them.

that's if people are buying them!

a number have just finished on the feebay with no bids at way unders what have been spoken about on here 200/300 +

$150 for a League Sensations,no bid, $125 Future Stars,no bid, one did sell for $89

plenty people watching nobody bidding, looks like at the moment you have your answer on pricing,

Yep, my league sensations are sinking without trace at 150 on the bay.

I wish I had have been wrong about the prices for these, dammit!!!

Wow 1 watcher, what is it? I will bump the watchers up to 2 :)

Point I am making is the price will be what people will pay for them and at the moment not many are being bid on, so certainly not 200/300/400 people are talking, maybe the odd player with low number if that floats your boat

good luck with your sale

Only thing I can say here is that some of the hype has died down, a lot of the cards have hit the market but i still believe they will dry up in the future. With finals coming up, I could see some of the star players having a bit of a jump in price after some games.

Interesting to see where they go in price.

Cheers
Matt
