So there's an Easts, Dragons and a Balmain supporter calling him a Grub or a Scumbag and they arn't sharks supporters, and when gallon gets hold of the Scum well see who cry's first,Papali was lucky the Ref was looking after him in the game your referring too,Like we said 100% Grub-Scum
You might have him confused with a Manly or balmain Player from the past, lol ???
I really didn't want to get into this debate again.....but I have a few points i will make and then hopefully personal opinions can be put aside and this thread can get back on track!
Firstly everyone is entitled to their opinion
Secondly Papali has been branded a grub by a few people. Being branded a grub is a harsh call as this is a term commonly used to refer to criminals languishing in jail. Papali has never been suspended and rarely penalised for foul play. In the game v the Sharks he was given a job to take care of Cronulla's best player. I will concede that Papali hit Gallen high early and was penalised accordingly. If you a watch the replay he apologised to Gallen. The second hit was slightly late but Papali was committed. Gallen's most popular and effective play is to run wide between two players and draw the centre and put his centre or a back rower into space. This is exactly what he was trying to do and Papali lined him up but mistimed the hit. This happens in every NRL game on every weekend. Did it work? Of course, Gallen got the shits and didn't play his usual devastating game on the edges.
Thirdly I have a huge amount of respect for Gallen. He is the best back rower in the game and over the last couple of seasons has matured into a fantastic leader. What Papali did to Gallen is exactly what Gallen has done to opposition players for many years. Aside from the two incidents it was a great battle and good tough Rugby League. The media ambushed Gallen at the end of the game with BS questions and blew the situation up into a lot more than it should have ever been.
Will Gallen get revenge? He sure will try and the game will be a cracker!
