2012 AFL Off-Season Thread

Hawthorn assistant Leon Cameron will be Ports new coach and David Koch to be President.

Former Geelong premiership ruckman Mark Blake could end up at the GWS Giants after first choice ruck Jonathan Giles looks more than likely to be on the move during the trade period.

Let the games begin... Interesting to see Collingwood and Sydney in the mix for his services.
Glad to see clubs like that in the mix, the Crows may get a half decent trade. Surprised though, the talk has been him going back to Queensland that last couple of years.

True that but it could end up being a bit of a Mitch Clark scenario. Would be filthy if i was a crows supporter seeing him land at another premiership contender though.

A lot will hinge on what GC can get for Caddy... Geelong seems to be in the box seat after not securing Boak

Have you not heard of a Sam Reid?

Elaborate? Are you saying that Syd would be willing to trade Reid for Tippett. Wouldn't be a bad deal in terms of like for like but age is on Reid's side and seeing as the bloods have quite a deal young talent you'd think they'd want to keep the core of it together.

DONE DEAL!

West Coast Eagle Quinten Lynch has signed with the Collingwood Football Club.

Not too sure this is a good pick up by Collingwood, guess only time will tell though.

I hope that St Kilda cut their losses re: Brendan Goddard. The reported $700,000 per year for 4 years is something they would do well to stay away from. I think they would be better served injecting more dollars into younger players - if Essendon want to waste $2.8m then that's their problem, it will be the biggest waste of money since the Tom Scully recruitment by GWS.
100% Agree... I was annoyed about it until I read this article.

The Josh Caddy race is down to 3!

North Melbourne, Geelong & St.Kilda are the only teams in the running for the want-away Gold Coast midfielder.

agree, as a pies supporter i'd rather them pushed for tippett first and if that didnt work then grab lynch

I'd like to see hawthorn make an attempt to get Tippett,
Put roughead down back and have Tippett play as forward and second ruck.

I think we would be starting to push our salary cap limit already, cant afford Tippett. But Gunston will come right for us. I think maybe we need Bailey back in as a sole ruckman and leave Roughie inside forward 30. We need a big strong body to stay close to goals, didnt have that this year with him in the ruck so much. I like our list, it just needs a re-shuffle.

KKKKOOOOOCCCCHHHHIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
