They are saying on West tigers forum that tim sheens got the sack this morning - will be released today in the pm

Replaced by Matt Parish or Nathan Brown

in fridays mx paper, it said farah was very upset, and his column wouldn't be appearing today. Someone needs some cement :)

Seven years after he left the NRL to play with the Catalans Dragons in Super League, Clint Greenshields has decided to rejoin the Telstra Premiership as a member of the North Queensland Cowboys.
The fullback/centre signed a one-year contract with the Cowboys today and will join the team in pre-season training in late November.
Greenshields played 36 matches, including five finals, for the St George Illawarra Dragons between 2004 and 2006 before making what some judges viewed as a surprise decision to switch to Super League as a 24-year-old.
Cowboys General Manager – Football Peter Parr said securing the fullback added more depth to North Queensland’s backline for the 2013 season.

The tigers would struggle to pay the 900 thousand dollar deal in full as well as find the funds to hire a replacement coach.
Tigers will be hoping the warriors sign him to lesson the payout.
Matt Parish and Nathan brown are reportedly to be the front runners.

See, I don't get this. Why pay someone out and create a hole in finances like this? Like Cronulla did with Anderson, Raper, Stuart...

And how is it that B Kite still has a year to go but he's told to leave? Surely if you sign someone for three years, until they've actually gone, you can't sign someone else in to the cap?!?!

Sheens has walked away with a golden handshake thankfully, I am interested in knowing is there going to be an interim coach or someone for long term, Nathan Brown is on a multi year contract at St Helens so count him out.

OMG I hope not, for some reason his coaching reputation has been enhanced since being in the UK but apart from one or two good years where Huddersfield made the Challenge Cup Finals the rest has been pretty ordinary.

The Tigers aren't going to pay Sheens out they are moving him into a Coaching Directors type role. I can only assume they are hoping that he wants to coach and if the right deal comes along he will walk meaning the Tigers will not have to pay him out.

Actually would be pretty happy for Tim to take a secondary role with the club rather than being exiled but the drums are beating that he's off to the Warriors!.
