You can ask Glen from Goldcoast cards, as he has sold to them
Looks like a Knights fan = must be dodgey!
...or possibly Tinkler
Yes I did sell some cards to him. One transaction took a long time to get paid but I think the other 1 was nice and quick but nowhere near $4999.00
Cheers Glenn
Take the bidder to court imo, this sort of practice is no on. I have seen cases where the bidder doesn't pay on shows like Judge Judy and have also read about them in the news (Hearld Sun and once in the Age), once the customer makes the commitment to buy the item by bidding on it, they enter a contract to pay for the item if they win, they have the opportunity to retract their bid before the auction completes but if they win the auction they enter into a legal contract to buy the item.
eBay support are completely useless on this, you are better off speaking to a lawyer to see what your options are available. I mean whats to say that if they can just get away with this sort of thing, everyone doesn't start bidding on stuff and if they think it is too expensive just not pay and steal the rights away from a legit bid that got it cheaper.
And to use the excuse "Due to the public conversation and jokes you and others are making ..... I prefer to deal with honest people" are you serious?? Honest people?? I think a look in the mirror is needed here... You obviously have the user's real name so should send an message to admin team here and get this user banned from this site, I have no time for this sort behaviour.
Take it all the way is what I suggest because I hate these sort of people that abuse the system and expect to get away with it, it really makes my blood boil :swear:
/take a deep breath and end rant /
In regard to Honest People, I just bough a Wade Graham TP off the same person who bidded on the Beetson on Ebay for what I thought was a very good price. Ebay finished on Friday evening, rcvd message from seller on Monday requesting Money or card was not for sale. Messaged them back stating I was sorry for not being on ebay, did not realise that they required payment asap and if card was still available then I would take it. Rcvd message from seller who advised card for sale. so sent money by paypal.
The next day rcvd message from seller, stating does nto have Paypal and would prefer Bank Deposit. Advised seller that I had already sent payment by paypal and that I would not be paying by Bank Deposit (only 5 feed backs and did not feel confortable, especially after reading about the beetson card)
Rcvd message today stating to cancel the paypal payment and the card was not for sale. I then went in to paypal and cancelled payment as it had not gone thru yet (e-cheque)
Dissapointed about not getting the card as to be honest it was a bargin
End of Rant
Ok he should get punished, then what about the seller is the buyer then should he get punished even greater then a legit buyer ?
