I was able to rock it out to Wuerfel Park again yesterday for another go around with the Rockford Riverhawks. I rocked to their beat again this time since that they had some players with cards out. I will start off with the bad news that was reported from the game on Thursday; Apparently when I checked the Rockford website on Thursday night, I came across the results from that game on there and (A SUPRISE) a onfield incident with the umps that involved 2 Rockford coaches. It was very questionable now of who would be there since this transfired. I was watching the sports results on TV 7&4 up here in Traverse City from that night, and I was amazed that they did not show that. When the Beach Bums are at home, this station does show highlights from any homes games played up here. I can't believe they would miss something like that of importance in their Beach Bums highlights. Anyhow when I got to the park yesterday like I do normally, I came across one of the security guards at the park and he explained more of the Thursday night incident. It turns out that Reggie Harris was involved in the ump incident and ended up throwing a base in discuss over an argument with the umps and it involved something about not giving the pitcher enough time after pitches well somewhere along those lines. A couple players were about to come out but most of the players on Rockford were trying to calm themselves down. From what security said it turns out that it was bad enough for them to be ejected that they had a bunch of security guys out there on the field to breakup the incident and to escort the ejected coaches to their lockeroom. Apparently, that is what the story was from Thursday night according to one of the Beach Bums security guards. Well once I was inside yesterday, I was looking out into the field seeing Rockford warm up and I saw Reggie Harris out there. When one of the players came up that I got to sign, I asked him about Thursday night and he told me that Reggie Harris is suspended for 3 games. Well it turns out that Reggie and the other coach involved were out there helping the team warm up and pregame but once the game started, they were not allowed to leave the lockeroom during the game(s) at all they are suspended for. With that occurance happening, and losing to the Beach Bums in 10 innings on Thursday night, Rockford was in a fiery mode yesterday and I happen to be that way to since I came loaded with cards of a few people this time around. I got more to share but now here are my results of a record night I had at Wuerfel Park!!!:

Me: "Well what happened with the umps last night???" Reggie: "They were full of f****** b******* for not allowing the pitchers enough time on the mound in between pitches." Me: "So your suspended for 3 games?" Reggie: "Yes I am; as a matter of fact, during the game I got to stay in the locker room and I am not allowed to come out at all during the game. I will tell you what, I will get your first 16 cards here but in order to get me to do the other 16 cards, you will have to buy me a beer." Me: "Buy you a beer I am actually morally against that but I can get you a pop." Reggie: "Actually, please meet me outside the locker room at 7pm and we will talk."
7pm (Outside the Rockford Riverhawks Locker Room)
Me: "I almost forgot from when I first saw you back in May, I told you I would hold some cards for you to keep." "If I give these cards to you, do you think this would be fair to get my other 16 cards???" Reggie: "Okay that will do I can totally roll with that." (He proceeds to sign my 2nd and final page of 16 cards I had of him!!!) Me: "So do any of these cards bring back memories, do you enjoy seeing yourself on a card???" Reggie: "Yeah I do it was always nice to see yourself on a card when you played." (Reffering to himself and his playing days of course) Me: "As for the beer thing, yeah I am morally against that I have known a couple people that were killed and ruined their lives by it." Reggie: "Yeah I understand I am sorry to hear that." Me: "So you have signed alot of these cards before or have you seen so many at once?" Reggie: "Yeah I have signed many of these cards before I sign for lots of people." Me: "Thanks alot Reggie and God Bless." Reggie: "Thanks and you to.")

As for the Reggie Harris experience, luckily I kept some cards for him to keep or he may have not got them all. A heads up to anyone else seeing Reggie Harris this year, he is signing everything but I would suggest bringing a few cards for him to keep as he seems to like collecting his own cards. Reggie Harris was a class act at this game. It is unfortunate about his suspension as I hope that he got someone to get a beer for him last night since that the suspension rules prevent him from leaving the lockeroom when the game is in progress and yes he was not permitted to even walk the concourse to get a beer. As for what I said to Reggie about beer, it is true if anyone is wondering that.
Only downsides was no Luke Hagerty, Tanner Watson, and Bob Koopman. Hagerty did not make the trip as I don't understand why. Tanner this time around did not come up since that he was not in the starting rotation for any of the games in this series so Rockford told Tanner to stay home. Bob Koopman does not make roadtrips with this team.
Otherwise that is all I have to share from this record breaking experience!!! What a wild series this has been!!! Thanks alot for looking!!!
