Im Not Juan Garcia
pinched from Ham at HK
Since someone mentioned that Marcus Williams had been substituted from Tiago Splitter on the Chronology checklist, I decided to check the UD web site and see what other substitutions had been made. Just a warning to those of you who may be collecting players from the later first round - UD has actually moved first rounders forward to higher positions, rather than making direct substitutions. Here is what UD has done:
Picks 1-23 remain the same.
#24 Redemption (pick - R.Fernandez) will be Morris Almond (25th Pick)
#25 Redemption (pick - M.Almond) will be Aaron Afflalo (27th Pick)
#26 Redemption remains Aaron Brooks
#27 Redemption (pick - A.Afflalo) will be Alando Tucker (29th Pick)
#28 Redemption (pick - T.Splitter) will be Marcus Williams (2nd round)
#29 Redemption (pick - A.Tucker) will be Carl Landry (2nd Round)
#30 Redemption (pick - P.Koponen) will be Gabe Pruitt (2nd Round)
I don't know about anyone else, but if I acquired a 25th, 27th, of 29th pick expecting it to be the player selected at that position, and UD produced that player but at another position in the set I'd be quite upset. By now it's expected that Euros who don't sign will be replaced in these product, but for a first rounder to sign and be moved to a different position in the set it completely unacceptable. If UD was going to pull something like that, they should have at least done like Topps with the Finest draft pick autos and been initially vague about who the redemption was for.
