hello,

i am expecting a box from the same guy that looks as though he has pack searched and then resealed boxes from a few ozcard members!! what should i look out for to know that it has been tampered with. is it just 1 little upper deck logo to look for on the box?? anything else to look for!!

any help would be great??

should have white upper deck logos like such

this means it is factory sealed..

if the box doesnt come exactly like that..

its a dodgy one
 
What product is it? It's not only the logos, but how it is sealed.

Upper Deck seals 3 sides on the majority of their products.
 
mmmm Trilogy.... never did buy a box as much as I wanted to. lol.

Yeah I've noticed that too Sonny, that they seal it 3 sections.

Not sure about Topps products, how they seal/imprint their shrink-wrap....
 
Topps are cleverer. They seal just 2 sections but one of them is sealed along the bottom edge so it looks hidden, and would be much tougher to reseal. Of course the blue topps logo is plastered all over the plastic.

Another simple thing to look for are the pack arrangements. Trilogy comes with a piece of foam inside and 3 x 3 arrangement with all packs facing up.
There is also a checklist included.

yeah, my box turned up and has that circular NBA logo, but definitely no Upper Deck Logos!! Bastard!!

What can i do?? email the bloke and tell him i want a refund or threaten that i can do what?? take it up with ebay??

please give me some ideas or let me know what i can do??

i received this box today, and believe it is different the the item in the picture!! there seems to be a distinct lack of Upper Deck logos on the plastic wrapping which indicates to me that the box has been opened, searched and then resealed less the high value cards which may have been in this box!! be honest.... i know you searched this box and resealed it??
i would appreciate a full refund of my purchase price or i will be forced to take this issue further with ebay!

I may have been a little less accusatory....he's still innocent until proven guilty. Remember he may be selling for a third party so he may never have even seen the box....so he will have to deal with them first. For all this guy knows it could be us Aussies searching boxes and resealing them and then hitting him up for refunds.
Can you post a pic of the box? Did you add a pic of the box to your e-mail?

above is the picture of the sellers ox. you will notice the upper deck logos near Lebron ear and just on his 23 on his jersey.

I emailed you earlier with REF to the above box I bought from you. I apologise for being so ‘straight to the point’, but I’m just looking at the facts.

Please refer to the above 2 pictures. The first one is of the box I received and the second one is the picture from the item that I won. You will see that my box does not have the Upper Deck logos on the plastic wrapping (which is still fully intact as I haven’t opened it). I believe that these logos prove that it is factory sealed, which would mean that my box isn’t and I am possibly being robbed of the opportunity to pull high end cards, that have obviously be searched for already.

I would appreciate if you could try to explain this to me??

Yeah, for sure. if it comes to that then yeah. i'm not paying shipping after he has just tried to rip me off!! no way!!
 
no word overnight from Mr Dodgey pack searcher/box resealer!!! :mad:

i told him i was giving him 2 days to get back to me and explain himself. if i didnt hear from him before then i told him i was taking it up with ebay.

i will keep you guys updated.
 
I am so pissed off, that is the same guy that sold my the dodgy box of 05-06 SPGU. Don't open it, you will get spam like i did. Did you pay through paypal ?

mate this guy is guilty as charged, why should we be polite when we are the people being ripped off , you have to be joking. He will be just pissed off cause we aussie are on to the prick. Don't take it, make sure you get a full refund like you deserve, i just wish i hadn't opened my box of SPGU.
 
Funny how the pic in the auction shows a box with proper Ud wrapping and you got a home wrapping job on your box...what a wanker.good luck with it mate..take him down.
