New Ebay Bidder Display??

Not sure if this is in the right thread but anyway...

Just logged onto ebay this morning and was surfing around for late christmas presents ( [-X I know i'm late getting them) when I saw that some of ebay listings weren't showing who the actual highest current bidder was (see below):

Just curious to see what other board members thought of this new concept that ebay will be introducing more widely in the near future?

As for me not too sure about this as I would prefer to know who I'm bidding against!!
 
*clap clap for ebay* Protecting the rights of shill bidders good job ebay! I knew you had to find a way to make yourself more money and what better way than to remove evidence of shill bidding so you can eat up the fees!
 
Stupid change in my op.

Lets people shill like crazy.

But also stops frauds. I.E People selling "Goods" to the 2nd higest bidder when like don't actually have the item.
 
Lemme get this clear for myself, no longer will we see the history bids? Like WHO is bidding, and the amounts???

Now that's f_cked up!!
 
I like how they show "Bids to unique sellers" to look for shillers, but It is absolute crap that you can't see who you are bidding against.

It has allready started but does not look like they have gone all out on every auction yet. I think the first one of these types was about 2 weeks ago but I only seen it on 1 auction at that time so did not know if it was something a seller could put on their auction or if ebay were doing it.
 
horrible, i like to know when familiar names are bidding on the same stuff i am. i dont see what it helps to do by being anonymous?
